Hi I am 12 days post IUI with follistim, ovidrel and crinone.  I am super nervous and I am spotting very lightly and I have cramps.  If I do not have AF by this Thursday I go in for bloodwork.  I am nervous I had 7 mature follicles a couple of 21's some 15's and 17's.  I just do not want my hopes up but I saw your post and felt so much better.  Congrats to you and I hope they will be in order  for myself and my hubby soon.

I am and its killing me.  I had my IUI on Saturday 4/24 and have been extremely bloated ever since!  If it goes down its just a bit and then I plump back up.  I've had mild cramping and go to the bathroom a lot only I'm not sure what "frequent" means.  I don't want to get myself all worked up.  This IUI was only the result of a canceled IVF so I don't want to assume anything.  Help!!

That's how I felt too, I had cramps and was convinced it was AF. Turns out I was wrong - BFP! So don't give up hope yet, because you never know!

It could be that your levels were normal at the time of initial testing. However, they test me every time after ovulation to confirm I ovulated. If your progestorone is higher it indicates ovulation.

Anyhow, ladies, I got a visit from AF this morning so 'til next month :( I'm a lil bummed but will be ok.

I almost forgot, about the progesterone - could it be that my levels were normal when they did the initial full workup on me so that's why they aren't checking it now?

I need to start making lists of all the questions I have for the doc!

My doctor has never tested my progesterone levels after the IUI. Is that normal or is it something I should be worried about?

I have one whole week left before I can test...it seems like forever! Last time I tested negative but was still holding out hope until 3 days later when I had no choice but to concede defeat.

I think what I hate most about the 2ww (other than it feels like 2 months!) is that I find myself over-analyzing every little twinge in my body. Realistically, I know there aren't many big changes to your body overall in the first month, but for some reason I feel like I should be able to tell. Even though I couldn't tell with my first baby!

Lots of baby dust to you both and keep us posted Yrmacias...I'll cross my fingers and toes on Saturday!

I got my post ovulation progesterone results back and they were 25.26. I'm not sure if that is good or bad? I'm waiting to hear back from my doctor :\ Last month my post ovulation progestoreone results were 15.1...thats a 10 digit difference.
I hope and pray its good. I have 5 more days left in my 2ww.

People are so ignorant when it comes to infertility. I don't talk much about it w people because I know now that they are not understanding or sensitive.  I've learned to tell people when they ask is "it's up to God maybe you should ask him" or "my hubby n I want to be able to appreciate, luv n provide for our kids w out expecting help from anyone" usually that shut people up cause most people in my circle atlases are depending of others n I thank God my hubby n I are vet independent.
My doctor didn't put me on anything cause my PCOS is very mild? Whatever that means? They just asked that I shed a few lbs :(
2ww has been ok I have a week to go n I've been trying to keep busy.  I hope I don't start to stress out or feel scared it won't work :/
I would luv to commiserate w you :) about all things pregnant xoxo

I almost bit my sister-in-law's head off tonight. She has 4 kids and she started going on and on about how we shouldn't wait too long to have another, and if we wait too long the kids won't play with each other because of the age difference, and then she even had the nerve to say something about how if we wait too much longer I'll be too old anyways. AARGH! What made it even more infuriating is that she knows we're doing fertility treatments!

Has your doctor put you on anything for the PCOS? Mine prescribed Metformin to help regulate my insulin levels. Apparently PCOS is somehow related not processing insulin normally, so a mild diabetes drug like Metformin can help with PCOS. I just started it recently, so my fingers are crossed it helps. My periods are pretty irregular, I once went 9 months without one, but am usually about 40-60 days per cycle. And I unfortunately have the PCOS paunch (my little belly) and the lovely facial hair that I pluck out. Ugh.

So how is the 2ww for you so far? Mine isn't so bad this time, probably because I know what to expect now. Although I can't believe it hasn't even been a week yet.

It would be fun to have someone to commiserate with through a pregnancy, I'm sure everyone around me will get sick of my moaning about swollen feet and indigestion!

Sorry to hear about your first IUI, but lets be hopeful for your second one :) Hope and faith is all we have, thats why we want to belive in a miracle!

I am trying for my first child and we have been trying for about 1.5 years too! My doctor told me I have mild PCOS, I ovulate and have regular periods - so I'm hopeful that IUI works for both and that we go through pregnancy journey together ;)

Hi Yrmacias,

I just had my second IUI today. The 2ww is terrible, it's always in the back of your mind no matter what you do. Last month I didn't get af until 17 dpiui, so I was hopeful but no luck. It's weird, even though the hpt was bfn, I still kept hoping.

Are you trying for your first? Somehow we got lucky and I got pregnant with my son when we weren't even ttc, but now that we decided to have another it's been over a 1.5yrs of trying naturally. I have PCOS and only ovulate from 1 ovary, so now we're being more aggressive.

Good luck!
