Anyone trying to conceive, pregnant or have had a baby after a Borderline Ovarian Tumor/ovary was removed

Has anyone had a Borderline Ovarian tumor and gone through the surgery?  Last year at age 30 it was discovered that I had a borderline tumor encapsulated in a very large cyst in my right ovary.  I had emeregency surgery and had my right ovary removed along with some staging.  I still have my left side and everything looks great.  My husband and I are trying to conceive...we started trying last December and we are now trying IUI.  I was wondering if anyone else has had a borderline ovarian tumor and is now trying to conceive or has conceived and had a baby?  I could use some support from other women that have faced the same situation.

Hello! sorry to hear what you've been through?   I have not had that type of tumor removed, however had an endometrioma that was removed and it had destroyed most of my left ovary..  so whats left of that ovary does not function.. As far as concieving with only one ovary, or one ovary and a partial ovary.. many many people do it without any fertility assistance! : ) and even more with assistance!     We did get preg with IUI, however ended up miscarrying.. but your "good" side should take over and ovulate each month and hopefully you'll have a BFP very very soon! good luck to you! let me know if i can help with anything!
