Well im starting my first round of IUI and i just want to see if there is any success stories out there for IUI? thanks   I started on provera then clomid and add in follistim and now i go for blood work tomorrow. Any thing would be good to here.

Question to those who had successful iuis--did you do back to back iuis (like at 24 and 48 hrs)? Did the dr do an ultrasound before each iui to see if you had ovulated?

Good day ladies I am glad that some of you had sucess with the IUI. I too have been trying for a little over two years. Finally myself and my husband decided to go see a fertilty specialist. Long story short I went tthrough a series of test and everything came out fine. However when my husband produced a semen sample we found out that his count was low. The doctor told us that we should try the IUI as an alternative. I am scheduled to go back to the doctors sometime this week for my IUI treatment. I am waiting unitl I am ovulating. This will be mu first IUI. I hope it works....

Hello everyone:

I am new here but felt it was important to share to give you hope as I used many message boards for hope when I was trying.  We tryed for 2 years without any success and I became very discouraged and more or less came to think I was never going to have kids.  But we decided to finally to go to a fertility clinic because I couldn't down without a fight! :) So we found out that I had no fertility issues and that the issues were Male factor fertility, my boyfriend had low motility.  The Dr. said that if we kept trying to conceive naturally the chances were only 2% a month.Yikes!! So he decided that we should try IUI and he was very very hopeful that it would work and that is what kept my hopes up! Even though the success rates claims to be 13.6%  A positive Dr. is very important!!  So we went ahead and did the first  IUI and with this IUI my boyfriend went directly to the clinic and produced his sample there.  No success :( For The second IUI he said forget this I am doing my sample at home and bringing it in and I was allo nervous that he wasn't going to be careful bringing the goods to the clinic as temp variations are deadly for sperm.  So I went in that morning for my scheduled IUI and when I found out the anaylisis before the IUI as usual I was surprised to find doing the sample at home produced 4 million more sperm than the sample he produced the first time at the clinic for the first IUI. (Let me add I went on Clomid the 2nd month even though I had no fertility issues hoping I would pop out more than 1 egg to give his boys a fighting chance of finding an egg.  But only released 1 egg as usual, so no help, lol)So I went ahead and did the second IUI and decided to use a Home pregnancy test 2 days early(one of those test 5 day early tests) adn we got our BFP!!! And I am almost 6 weeks now.

So it is possible!  Even with fertility issues ladies!  Don't give up and try having your DH produce his sample at home as this helped us but producing more to work with :) Although at first I was nervous about it!  Keep trying and good luck!! :)

i have pcos and underactive thyroide sperm count is 20.9 mittlity 44.4% my husband has sperm morphology 8% can we co.

I have a success story!! I did IUI 2x and both times got pregnant right away using donor sperm. 1st time around I was 18... young I know.. I went to The Fertility Center of Las Vegas... they had me on birth control, took me off, gave me a trigger shot in my bottom went through all the testing all came out normal.... and inseminated me.... (of course this took some months.) Got pregnant but my hormones were low from the beginning and I lost the baby... 3 years later (now) I do  it again but switched doctors because the old one gave me this story on how my insurance wasnt going to cover anything... turns out when I went to Red Rock Fertility center my insurance covers everything (mostly.. I came out the pocket about 5-6 thousand) and what the other place does is... they bill me.. I pay... then bill the insurance. So they get paid double!! Anyway Red Rock was much better.... she found out why I lost the other baby... I had polyps.. went for surgery, took clomid, shots, birth control... got pregnant with my baby girl!! currently 21 weeks pregnant... Hows that for a success story? Both times it only took 1 shot... Thank you so much!!!  I hope we both get our BFP!!!  When are you going to test?  I actually am supposed to have b/w done on the 11th but I won't be in town so I have to wait until the 16th.....ughhhh!  But I am going to take some HPT with me to test on the 11th.  Good luck to you too and I can't wait to hear your great news!!!!!

Hello- I just wanted to join in on this thread.....I just did my 2nd IUI on Dec. 28th and I am 7dpiui.  I am hopeful on this cycle....I have had some twinges and weird feelings but I won't test until next Monday!!  I hope I will be able to share my IUI success story with you!

I just gave birth on 12/22/09 to a healthy daughter from IUI ;-)  The first IUI didn't work but #2 did!  Good luck!

I will be doing an IUI in mid January if I get my period next week. I'm still in the 2 week wait from last cycle. I don't have big hopes for this cycle though since I am having mild AF cramping and major irritability at 8 dpo. I'm still trying to keep a glimmer of hope but since i've been trying for a year and a half, and every cycle seems to end up with me getting AF cramping and ultimately, AF, i am a bit pessimistic. Should i get my period next week, i am excited to start the process for IUI but i too would love to hear some success stories. I only know 3 people that have had IUI and it didn't work for 2 and the 3rd ultimately had twins but i think she had to do it a few times. it didn't work on the first try. I will be starting with just clomid. My dr thinks I should start with that first - 3 cycles of clomid/IUI and if no success, then do 3 cycles of injectables/IUI and then ultimately IVF. I really hope the first IUI works! I'll be praying for your BFPS!

Well im on CD 7 so if i "O" i hopimg with in the next week or a little later if everything goes good.  I have to go tomorrow just for blood work and then they will call me and let me know what my next step is... Good Luck  i hope every thing works out for and  i hope you get the BIG "BFP".. Keep me up dated please on how it when so i can have some more hope..

When do you have the IUI done? I had mine done yesterday. Waiting until the 15th of Jan. for the blood test!
