BabyforLori- Am going in for my first IVF in my next cycle. Today(4/18) is cd22 and I started my lupron shots yesterday. Did you also start your lupron in your previous cycle? If you did did AF arrive as expected.
Well apparently there is a long protocol and a short protocol...whatever that means. Long protocol starts from day 21 of the previous cycle. I will continue with Lupron till around the time of retrieval or there abouts. Gosh,I really hope that AF arrive arrives on time.
How long are your cycles generally? You say your last AF was April 7th and if May 5th is your retreival ....thats like 28 days into your cycle? Am so confused....and now beginning to worry. Sorry if I confused you too.
and then progress to a lesser type period. They want the old lining to shed so that you have a fresh lining for implantation after transfer. Then, once I started my period, I was to contact them so they could schedule the beginning of my other meds and PGD testing.
Well, 2 days after I began Lupron, I started to spot
, then I started a minimal flow. Very very light. This went on for a while, longer than I excepted it would (I think it was 7 days). They told me not to worry, the Lupron was just doing its job and the more of the lining that was expelled, the better position we would be in for a new lining to grow. I think it was one week I started my "period," I started taking the stimulation meds (e.g., Gonal, Lupron and low dose HCG.) Does this help any your question?
Hi Dena.
I am doing great. No matter what point you are in in this journey, I think we can find SOMETHING to stress about. But, I am working hard at trying to remember to do my deep breathing, and this helps relieve the stress tremendously.
I called the nurse yesterday, I told her, " I just don't feel pregnant." She answered, " How pregnant is one supposed to feel at 5 weeks." I laughed because she is right. I told her, smiling, "I want to be big as a house and throwing up so I know everything is fine." She said, "Honey, you are going to regret those words. This will come. Just enjoy knowing you are pregnant right now."
Long story short, not every one has PG symptoms right away, but that doesn't mean that something is wrong. The problem is, most of us have had some bad experiences in this department, so we prepare ourselves for more bad news. But, I am trying really hard to just enjoy knowing that I am pregnant now!!! Of course, I want things to be fine and turn out fine. We are doing everything we can to ensure this is the result. And, this is the best we can do right now. My u/s is on Thursday. I will let you all know how this turns out. Thanks for asking......Super Sticky Baby Dust to you....and, please keep me posted.
implanted? or is it too early? You transfered in the blastocyst stage right? If you don't mind me asking (I've forgotten if I've read it before) but why did they do a PGD for you? Don't think they will be doing it for me.
Hi Dena. I don't mind you asking, at all. Yes, the next ultrasound should show us were the sacs and how many there are. That is Thursday, VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!! My husband and I decided we wanted PGD. They did not require it. And, we wanted it do to my age and the risks associated with pregnancy at my age.
