They said that my uterus looks good, no problems. The doctor said that they cannot really see the tubes in this test, they need to do a HSG for that, but she was bale to see the fluid move through my left tube.
The tech whispered to the doctor that my ovaries looked PCOS. The doctor dismissed it and said that because I have normal cycles and no abnormal hair growth I am probably fine. She said that 20% of "normal" women will have ovaries that look PCOS.
My question is, if my ovaries look PCOS, does that make it hard for me to get preggo like it does if they actually are PCOS??
I'm sure if this is totally correct but this is how I understand it. Many people have cysts on their ovaries, but you are only PCOS if it is accompanied (or causes (not sure)) a hormonal imbalance. It is the hormonal imbalance that causes the fertility problems and the unusual hair growth.
I'm glad to hear your appointment went well. If I remember correctly you've been trying for just under a year? Is that correct? Have you considered going to an RE instead of ob/gyn? Or are you already doing that?
yeah I do not have any of the other PCOS symptoms, except some mild acne. It just scared me because when I had my u/s two weeks ago she said I had lots of follicles
on each ovary and they were still there today. When I heard her mention PCOS it terrified me.
It has been a year, but there are no R/E's here and my OB/GYN is the closest thing to it, he is knowledgeable though.
My hope for this cycle is that y SHG doesnt mess up my O day, I should O in 7 days, hopefully have a BFP in three weeks : )
