Bed rest or not ???

I want to know your opinion on this subject. I am having an ER on monday or tuesday and transfer  probably at the end of next week, some of my friends have recommended a couple of days of bed rest, others say it has nothing to do with implantation. My doctor says to be a couch potato for two days and that is it. Your thoughts anyone ????

I've said this in a previous post but I think it's worth saying again... basically there is no definitive answer as to whether it's necessary or not.  Some doctors say 1 to 3 days are imperative... others say two weeks (!!!) and others say it makes no difference.
My doc said 3 days of bed rest and I can't help wondering now that it turned out BFN... was it my fault?  Did I get up too often?  Should I not have gone so far as taking a shower on day 3?  Should I have stayed in bed longer than 3 days?
Frankly, at the end of the day, I chose to go with my doc's advice of staying in bed because I'd rather err on the side of resting but even with that, I'm now blaming myself.  Next time I'm staying in bed for a week and sod the shower!!!!  At least then I won't blame myself!

My written instructions were complete laying down bedrest for 2 days, only get up to go to the bathroom. The doctor said I could just "be a couch potato", so that's what I did. Even if it doesn't help with implantation, it can't hurt.  And besides, I had some pretty bad cramping the day after, and didn't feel like moving around much anyway. My result was BFN, but I'll be trying again with ER the week of Dec. 10.  Good luck to you!!
