Beta still high, what do twins look like on u/s???
Hello Ladies! My beta has been on the high end of things for awhile now. Let me sum it up:
15 DPO- 430
17 DPO- 1275
19 DPO- 2500
24 DPO (today) - 15,288
As you can see it is more than doubling every two days. I had an ultrasound on Monday during which they saw one empty sac, and one (much smaller) anomally in the muscle wall of my uterus. It looked like another smaller sac to me, but the tech assured my it was not a baby, just something in the wall of my uterus that would not interfere with pregnancy.
and we beleive 2 ruptured. If those had produced twins, would there be two sac's?? Is it possibel there are 2 babies in the one sac we saw. I am trying to explain those high beta numbers this early on......
Two babies in on sack means identical twins. Two babies in different sacks means fraternal twins, i.e. they came from 2 different eggs and have completely different genes. Your #'s are high and at 5 weeks they probably missed a kid or two. I remember that Brown Eyed Gurl saw two sacks on some early u/s but 3 later on. Or may be she saw one kid, then two, then three. Something like that.
So, you may have a baby in hiding somewhere.
Helen72- I am hoping your right. Of course I am fine with one healthy baby. But, since it has been so hard to get pregnant, I am okay with more too! I will keep you updated. Thank you for your support, you have had a lot of answers and support for me and I appreciate that! Thank you!
Yay! I am so glad your numbers are rising like that! I think there's more then 1 in there, i hope! :) Wouldn't that be awesome! Let us know on tues, i know you will! :) I hope you finally see the baby(ies) and see that h/b! Good luck!!!!
Your #s would indicate to me that you have vat least twins in there. I was pg with triplets, and at 14dpo my HCG was 588!!!! The policy at my docs (and at many other's, I've heard) is that they won't even do an u/s until 6-7 weeks, as things are still forming and it can cause stress and confusion
