I am so sorry it did not work for you. I understand how you feel. To answer your question about AF...mine showed up 5 days after I stopped the progesterone and estrogen. I had preggo sysmptoms too, but they were just from the meds. They went on for a couple days after I stopped, but then subsided. My thoughts are with you. I was so devasted when my first cycle failed I thought no way I am ever doing this again, but here we are a week away from starting cycle 2. I am not sure about the funding, but the plan in the above response is an option. I have friends that used one similar to it.
this was my 2nd round. I son't think we are going to try again. It is just way to expensive. Does anyone know how to get help financing ivf (besides getting a loan or using your entire savings like we did)? If not, our only option is to adopt!
I am so sorry that it was negative!!! But at least you know it's negative. i still feel so torn, because mine was positive, but i don't think positive enough. So i can't grieve yet, and I can't celebrate. Just wait and hope. Are you going to do another IVF? I am so so sorry!! It's so much to go through and then end up with nothing. but i hope that you can move onto another round!
I'm really really sorry....dealing with fertility SUCKS...but know that you are not alone and that everyone here is supporting you. Was this your first IVF??? Are you up for trying it again??? My good friend had a negative first IVF then the second time around, 3 months later, she got pregnant with a girl and has a 3 month old daughter! Sometimes it takes one round of IVF for the docs to really see how your body is working then the know what to fix for the second time around.
I hope that you are able to try again, but adoption is great too! The clinic that we used had a Shared Risk program that you could apply for. There are sevreral guidelines and rules, but basically, if you are approved, then you pay a flat rate, which is basically about the same price as two IVF cycles, but you are guaranteed 6 cycles (3 fresh, 3 frozen) and if no take home baby, you get 70% of your money back. We did this because our doc thought it might take us a couple of tries. I know that it is expensive, but at least you could get more tries and get a 70% refund if it doesn't work.
Here's their website:

I hate that you are going through this. I wish you all the best! :)
Good luck
I am so sorry. I know that the news must be difficult. My doc said that if neg, it would take about a week to feel better. It sucks that you have to feel this bad. I am so sorry :( Maybe the next time will work for you. Did you do IVF or IUI?
