Bloating and cramping

Ever since my BFP a few days back (i'd just gone through IVF), I've been feeling extremely bloated and painful in my lower and upper abdominal areas. My stomach muscles feel like they are stretched to the max and I can't walk straight at all. I didn't put on much weight though my abdominal girth expanded. Anyone else feels like this? I'm freaking out and I'm having so much discomfort that I can't sleep very well at night. Has anyone had OHSS before?

Actually I went to see my RE but he said there's no fluid accumulation as of now. I guess it's gas then but I'm not sure why my upper abdomen hurts so much when I walk. He said my ovaries are huge though. Maybe that's why. I just hope there's nothing seriously wrong.

Mamom15, congrats on your BFP too! Hope u feel better.

Hi Pixie20, I am 6 wks pregnant after IVF and yes I can completely understand how you feel.  When I went for my first u/s at 5.5 weeks is they saw fluid in my upper abdominal cavity.  I have been told to rest as much as possible not bed rest per se  but not visit the gym and not do any heavy work etc.  I used to be a size 0 and now I cannot get into size 4 pants, thank god its summer because only dresses for me.  Like you I have not put on any weight.  Its supposed to get better in wk 7 or 8 - goodluck and congratulations on your BFP
