My best friend and i have been ttc for quite sometime. My friend was having very weird cycles. She would start her periods after every 18-19 days. For the last 3 cycles, she would finish her periods and start bleeding again with severe pelvic
region. My friend was put on some medicines but that only increased the problem. She was later asked to do a few more tests and the doctor concluded that she had a blocked
fallopian tube. She is now on some medicines and asked to take complete bed rest. The doc said that she will have to go in for a laproscopic surgery in sometime.I would like to ask if any of you ladies have had such symptoms with a blocked
My right tube is blocked I found out like a couple of weeks ago the doctor performed and HSG on me if you don't know it's were they insert dye inside you to determine if there is a blockage but my cycle is normal every 28 days. I have never had my cycles to do as your friend I go for a laparoscopy next Thurs to unblock my tube here cycles are irregular but different bodies do different things. I hope she finds the answer to here problem that must be really annoying to have cycles come back to back I hope she get's better and soon.
Hi I had a blocked fallopian tube but never had any symptoms...however my dh and I were ttc and I got an ectopic pregnancy and had to take the fallopian tube removed laproscopically. The procedure is not bad and recovery time is not too bad either.

Hi. After TTC for almost 2 years, my husband and I decided that we needed to see a doctor. The first thing I had done was an HSG a few months ago and found out that both of my tubes are blocked. When I was 19 I had Chlamydia, so I'm assuming that is the cause of the blockage. My Doctor then referred me to a Fertility Specialist. I am still waiting for that appointment. I have been doing a lot of research while waiting for this appointment. I've found that there are a lot of things that can be done to attempt to unblock the tubes. The first thing I'm going to talk to the doctor about is the 'Fallopian Tube Recanalisation'. That is similar to the HSG, except they actually put a very thin cathater into the tubes to try and push out any blockage. If that doesn't work, then I will try the laparoscopic surgery. That is where they will go in and be able to literally see what is going on. They can use some small tools to try and tear the blockage and create an opening. With the laparoscopy they can see details of the blockage, such as which end it is at and if it is scarring, or if it is fluids. I am hoping that one of these will work! If not, then the only other opion is in-vitro fertilitzation, which is very expensive.
I just wanted to tell my story on here and wish everyone the best of luck with their baby dreams!
Hi,
Gosh your story sounds so familiar..I to was ttc for almost 2yrs..finally went to see an RE..did the HSG and found out both my tubes were blocked because when I was 18 I had PID from chlamydia...well in 11/07 I went in for a Lap...and they were able to unblock my left tube and remove some scar tissue but they were not able to unblock my right one..they also did a dnc for some polyps I had in my uterus...My recovery was hard and had alot of pain..had to sleep on my recliner for the 1st 4nts due to the pain I had from the gas..but here I am today with 4options of getting preggers instead of just one (invitro) I did my first cycle of FSH and BD and now im in my 2ww...Im hoping to get my BFP around New Years!! Good Luck to you and Im sending you some baby dust!!!
hey so like me and my bf have been ttc for about 2 years i finally went to the doctor to see whta was going on and they had an hsg done turns out both of my tubes are blocked. i never had any stds or anything and i have a 7 year old son so found it kind of weird. anyway i also did my research and found out about fallopian tube recanalization and i scheduled to have it done. however it was unsuccessful they were unable to push out any blockage. so then i moved to my next step to have the laparoscopy done and thats what im waiting for now. i pray that i have success with that so that i can give my son a brother or sister. so keep me in prayer and i will do the same for u......for all of u
