Both tubes blocked!~

Hi, My name is Ellissa. I just had a HSG test on Tuesday, We found out in my sonogram that i had one blockage, during the test we found i have two blockages. What are the odds of the Dr. being able to unblock?
Has anyone had both tubes blocked? I am 26 years old and we've been trying for 14 months.
Any info will help me, i am so depressed rite now, i just can't believe this is happening to us. He said if he can't clear them he'd remove them, so i don't even have a chance of natrual remadies, that's 1/4 of a hysteroctomy (sp)

I think you have a good chance of being able to get pregnant if the blockage is at the point where the uterus and fallopian tube join.    

Where's the blockage.  Do you know why you have blockage?   You're pretty young.

I am not so sure about that last post saying 'it couldn't hurt' I am petrified of needles so ouch, ouch, ouch.  Now having said that I have never heard of that before, that's very interesting.

I have a blocked right tube and apparently and I have yet to have my appointment with my RE but depending on where the blockage is, they can sometimes remove it with a LAP, now I have been told that a LAP might not open the blockage and it can also do more damage but then I think the business us ladies are in, there is a lot of risk and it all depends on whether or not you are up for the challenge.

I have before had a LAP for an ectopic pregnancy and the recovery is so quick it's unbelievable so if that option comes open to me, I might grab it, but you need to ask your doctor for all the options.

Since many insurances don't cover IVF you might want to see what else is available but don't give up hope, you are very young and I am sure there must with technology and medicine being what it is today, there must be something they can do for you.

Two things.  I do accupuncture and my accupuncturist said that they can hit points that will undo the blockage...Maybe worth a try.
Secondly.  If all of your other tests come back okay then you would be a wonderful candidate for IVF. I'd look into accupuncture...it couldnt hurt! And that's what she told me...that they've been able help those with blocked tubes actually unblock them.

I had a HSG last year and I just recently posted my issue here. Both of my tubes are blocked, from the beginning to the ovary. The doctor I was seeing adviced me of IVF, and no most insurances don't cover it. My thing, after looking at my Xrays myself I also noticed that a thin line of die was getting to my ovaries. Now my doctor tells me that if there was an chance that an egg did get through most likely it won't stick to the Uterus wall because of the fluids the the blockage/scarring , in my case, is causing. This is the reasons that he suggested cutting my tubes from my uterus. Then IVF. I have to switch insurances just to be able to get some type of infertility treatment. At first I was stressed but I don't know all my options, I haven't had a second opinion so I'm taking it easy.  About accupuncture, I'm going to look into that cause I'm up for anything. Also worry and stress isn't good when TTC .So breathe easy and don't give up. Keep us posted on anything, I read the forum for knowledge a lot of these women have already and I need it and I'm 30 with no children and never pregnant.

Hello..I'm 26 with both my tubes blocked too.Had a HSG and Laproscopy done on 22 August and got  this news.I was told I had unexplained infertility,because in 2004 my tubes came out to be clear.
If u guys are in Ontario,OHIP covers 3 lifetime IVF tries(at least some of it)
Hope this helps and if anybody could recommend an insurance that would cover any subsequent IVF attempts,i'm very interested to know.

hi my both tubes are blocked, i had ivf treatment last year it did not worked for me after i was very stress now we got to save up for another go cause i be told not to give up. so if anyone has become pregnant after they had ivf treament could you please tell me. i am 35 years old .
