Yep I have read many times that if you want a boy then wait to have sex until you get a positive opk and if you want a girl start having sex on CD10 and stop having sex when you get a positive opk. The boys swim faster and the girls live longer but are slower swimmers.

from what I have heard, boy sperm swim faster but girl sperm live longer. If you are charting, it would be better for you to attempt conception on the day OF ovulation for a boy. For a girl, you want to have intercourse BEFORE you ovulate. The best way to achieve your goal for a boy is to chart your BBT and avoid intercourse until your actual day of ovulation or perhaps just the night before.

I am not a doctor, but I hope this helps.

some ovulation calenders will tell you what days in the cycle are better for a boy vs a girl.

you can look them up online.

I kinda like freeovulationcalendar.net

There is no guarantee as to what you will get. But, google "shettles method" and it will give the idea behind trying for one or the other. Good luck.
