Bravelle???

My dh and I have been fighting this battle since 2005. I got pg after 18 months but lost our baby at 19 weeks. Since that point I've had no success. Last year I was diagnosed with PCOS and thought I was seeing the right doctor to help us out. His answer was to continue to increase Clomid and we saw no results. I have recently (December) switched to a different doctor who is much more on top of things, my cycle started 01/05 and I did Femara on cd3-7, had an hsg, and then a base line and follicle study which revealed the Femara did nothing. He immediately started me on Bravelle, cd12-16 at .5amp, cd18-21 @ 1amp, cd22-24 @ 1.5amp, and cd25-30 @ 2.0. We saw small results starting at 1.5 amps, but significant results at 2.0 and today when I went in for f/s I have one ready @ 18mm, and will be doing ovudril(sp?) tonight and trying on Friday morning. Has anyone had any success with Bravelle? Or with 1 follicle? I am so impatient, I want it to WORK!!! Just need a pep talk from someone going through something similiar because it is definitely getting harder and harder to be positive~!

Bravelle worked for me, my son is now 16 months old. I took Clomid on days 3-7, Bravelle on days 7 and 9. I was ready for trigger (Ovidrel) on day 11 and IUI on day 13.
I am now working on baby #2 with the same doctor.
Good luck to you

Hey Hun,

Bravelle is actually what helped me to get pregnant with my current pregnancy. I took Clomid days 3-6 Bravelle 5-8 and a trigger shot and IUI. If you have any questions I'd love to give you answers. I hope this is your lucky cycle. =)

Hi
I recently did a 2 embryo transfer after using Bravelle as one of my stim meds.  The Bravelle work for me but not the way it should.  I only ended up with 4 mature eggs for retrieval.  I had the choice to of using only those 4 for fertilization or try another protocol.  I stuck with I had to work with and happily, I got a BFP from a blood test last week.  So, I would say give it a shot.  It does work for most women.  Oh, make sure you follow all directions as far as timing or any mixing.  I did the shots and varied my times a bit.  Dr. said that could be why it didn't stimulate my ovaries the way it should have.  Best of luck to you!  Keep me posted.
