Brown discharge

Hi My husband and I are trying for a baby and have been off the pill 3 months now lst month my period only lasted 2 days and then this month I got a brown discharge has lasted a week now and still no sign of a period I took a pregancy test and that come out negative so whats wrong should I go to my doctor am getting a little ichy now aswell

You only came off birth control 3 months ago, it can take quite a few months for your body to regulate into a new cycle again and so strange/irregular bleeding and spotting is to be expected. When you say itchy, do you mean 'down there'? If so then I would recommend the doctor, maybe you have thrush or something. Are you having a lot of creamy like discharge too?
