CLEARBLUE/PLAN FERT MONITOR... ANYONE HAD MORE THEN 5 HIGH FERT READINGS...HELP!! ;o)
All,
Last month...the monitor worked text book perfect, but this month it's all off. Last month...I had 5 high days & on CD17 & CD18, it read "Peak Fert" for both days then dropped back to High Fert on CD19 & back to normal on CD20. This time, it read "High Fert" fr. CD12-CD20. Since you have to use 10 sticks at a time, I decided to wait to see if AF shows, but hubby thought the digital
on that one yet. So...my question is this...has anyone experienced this type of situation or something similiar? Thanks for any info you're willing to share. ;o)
surge. The monitor can only be used one time a day (with fmu) if that surge isn't present when the stick is dipped, you will never receive a "peak" reading. Out of 12 cycles with my CBEFM, I maybe got 6 "peaks" all the rest "high". HTH
I got PG when mine was reading LOW! b/c of what Tina said, it never caught my surge with FMU. My RE thought it was crazy so he asked me to buy smiley's to use as back up. well I used them at night well it was a Fri. night cd11 and thought well it's still reading low, but I better start the back up, well there it was my smiley!~ :) I went in on Sat. and he did U/S and there she sat 20mm. That morning it did jump to high, but on Sunday he did another U/S to confirm "O" and sure enough I had, stupid monitor just stayed on high! I did get my BFP that cycle though after 5 LONG years! So I say as much as I liked my monitor, it didn't work all the time for me. I only used mine 4 months, it caught my surge just one time, and I am really really text book when it comes to my cycles!
Good Luck! I say I LOVE THOSE SMILEY'S!!!!
Thanks Ladies...this info REALLY does help. Kiki...WOW...it said Low, but you got the smiley...I'm going to try it as a back up next time. I know it read correctly the 1st time because of a previous IUI when the RE checked to see if I'd ov'd. I thought my ov window was long gone, but on day 17...I still hadn't. So...I'll use the smiley's & the CBM sticks as well. Congrats Kiki on your BFP...I can imagine how EXCITED you are after such a long journey. ;o) Tina...looking forward to your BFP soon.
Savanah: I have the monitor and it's my first cycle using it. It told me to start testing on CD6, and on CD7 I got a "high" reading. I did read that if you are taking clomid or something of that sort, you will get more "high" readings than average due to the meds increasing your estrogen
Hi ladies....I am also using the monitor and know that when taking any meds it can affect the readings. It is a wonderful device that has helped me become more aware of my body and the best to to bd :)
I hope you all get a BFP soon.
Savanha...I know this is our year :) I was getting very frustrated the last two months with the monitor after my incision became infected after the tubal reversal surgery and I had to take the antibiotics. It really knocked the monitor off a bit...but I just kept buying the sticks and using them as the montir requested me to do so. If you run out off sticks you can go and purchase more and keep using them. They are pretty pricey but I bought the stack of 30.
Thanks ladies. I so appreciate when I get replies to my notes, pm's & threads. ;o) I know that I'm really alright...haven't lost any brain cells looking at this wacky monitor. ;o)
Nikki: I hope it works for you...the 1st time I used it, it was spot on. I too started testing on CD6 & got "High Fert" on CD12 & hit Peak CD17 & 18, but this last time all high until AF. ;o) Hang in there & keep me posted on your results. I've been on meds like Erakal said & think it is the reason for all my highs. I'm now on CD2 today. ;o)
Erakal...I too KNOW it is our year! Where 3 or more...You know what has already happened. ;o) I'm still on the meds, so I'm not sure if I'm going to try the monitor sticks or just start my rythm bding on CD 12 until or if I get AF. ;o) At least I'm aware of the timeframe when things start to rise. ;o) NO...I mean estrogens & such. <3
Savanha: Thanks! I hope it works for all of us!! I started testing on CD6, and then I got my "Peak" reading on CD13 which is right on for me while on Clomid. I also had a "Peak" reading on CD14 which is also right, and now today CD15 it was high. Hopefully DH and I are covered as far as BD'ing lol... we probably should again tonight...I'm sick of planned BD'ing lol :-) It better get the job done!!
Keep me posted on how everything goes - would love to have another friend on here to talk too, and it's nice since you're also using the monitor :-)
I love the Clearblueeasy monitor......I am now wondering.......do we have certain restrictions during the 2ww? I know that when I did IVF, there are certain restrictions.
OK...I am merely venting a bit of frustration...but...if we know when we ovulate, and we bd accoring to this....why don't we get positives????????????????????????????
