CM after suspected O

CM after suspected O

Hi Ladies! This cycle has been a weird one. I had positive OPK and positive saliva ferning on CD 14. I assumed I ovulated on CD15. I also monitor my CM for ferning, and unfortunately CM ferning results were negative on CD14. All that was seen through the microscope were basic unfertile epithelials. CM was lotiony and not stretchy at all. I thought maybe I had a false positive saliva test...but then why would OPK be positive?
Now it is CD17 (I normally O on CD18 based on previous charts- this cycle was early) and I noticed some VERY WATERY CM this morning. Out of curiosity I put a sample on a slide and sure enough it formed into that beautiful fern pattern we all know and love! I took another OPK just to see and it was negative. What the heck is going on here? Oh another thing- I have had no temp shift thus far either. I am at a loss this month. I normally don't have any CM after O'ing or it is very dry and sticky.
I have had issues with a lack of CM in the past. Is it possible for my body to be so backwards that it releases fertile CM after O'ing? Is there any way to correct that? I have been taking Guefenisin to increase the amount of CM (seems to be working), now how do I get it to come at the right time?
I know that this cycle sounds rather anovulatory due to no temp increase, but my temp increase is usually very subtle anyway. I just haven't recorded 3 days over my coverline yet. Temp is staying right at the coverline.

I am just confused at this point. I know CM is a must to get pg, but if you don't get CM prior to O'ing....then what do you do?

I have ewcm prior to and after O.  The last two cycles, I have noticed it about 4 to 5 days after O.

If I were you, I would BD today, just on case you are in fact ovulating now. Since you still haven't seen a sustained temperature rise, and you now have fertile CM, I think there's definitely a possibility. That would also make sense, based on previous cycles. As for the negative OPK today, it might just be too late, since LH peaks about 24 to 48 hours before ovulation.

Thanks guys! I am still very confused though. It is now 4 DPO (according to OPK), and it seems if anything my CM is becoming more prevelant! It is still positive for ferning and has been for 3 days now. I still have no temp increase. And all OPK's taken after CD14 have been negative.
Husband and I are definately taking advantage of the EWCM so hopefully it is in fact an ovulatory cycle. I am definately starting to wonder though. The pieces just aren't fitting together. Well, compared to normal cycles anyway. But maybe that's just what I need is just a simple cycle change to conceive.
Thank you guys so much for the info. My fingers are crossed and best of wishes to you both!

Bump

I had iui on Monday, because bloodwork detected my lh surge that morning.  I didn't notice any significant cervical mucus at the time.  But today is 4 days past iui and i am having a TON of cm.

As far as ovulating goes, my ovaries were extremely sore right up until the iui.   I think it was from being superstimulated by the clomid.   After the iui my ovries stopped hurting so I think my follicles released eggs right on time ,  the day of the iui.    But I can't explain why I am having all of this cervical mucus, at 4 dpo!!??

Maybe this is normal, after a medicated cycle.  Maybe my hormones are causing this?  I would appreciate any comments.  I never have this much cervical mucus!!  Thanks
