Have you had your tubes reversed? I have heard women trying to concieve (conceive) after they had their tubes reversed. I believe most did IVF. A surrogate would work for sure. Do you have someone in mind, or are you planning on paying for one. My sister just recently told me if we could not concieve (conceive) on this next IVF cycle she would be my surrogate. I cried. That is the greatest sacrifice ever. Just know that surrogate's still have the possibilty of m/c and some on the other problems women with fertility problems. Just not as high as %. Good Luck.

I had my tubes reversed last month. I had three previous failed IVF attempts so DH and I opted for the tubal reversal. I am in the 2ww now after monitoring my ovulation with the Clearblue Easy fertility monitor.

I guess I don't know for sure what I would do unless I was in the same position. I know cost would help determine what I would do. I don't know what the cost is on the reversal. But, that is what I would look into first. Next, I would likely consider IVF. I doubt insurance would cover it since the tubal ligation was done. But, it is still likely less $$ than a surrogate. I really worry about surrogates. So many on the news decide they want to keep the baby, etc. Plus, you have no control over what they are eating, drinking, taking, etc. I'm sure there are good ones out there. I would just be a basketcase with a surrogate. Plus, you still have the cost of getting her pregnant. Whether it's IUI or IVF, it can still really add up in addition to her fees.  I don't know that medical insurance covers surrogate delivery if it is due to the mother having her tubes tied either. There's a lot of grey areas to investigate for sure.

I had my tubes reversed as well back in 2004, when i was married and did it so we could have a child, but it never happened and a good thing because we divorced, i honestly thought the surgery wasnt sucessful till i met me current fiance soon to be husband and i did get pregnant, but it ended in a tubal pregnancy at 6 weeks, we are now trying again. but it is very costly at the time my insurance acually paid for it and it was over 10 grand. but in the end i know it will be worth the wait.
