Can clomid delay your period?

I dont get a period on my own, so for the last 7 months I have been taking provera and metformin. With taking these meds I have started my af every month the day after I stop provera the 11th of every month. I took my first month of clomid last month and I havent started it yet. I have never been late. Can clomid delay my af?

It can, if it makes you ovulate later in your cycle. Basically, your period will almost always come about 12-16 days after ovulation. Provera is usually used to start a period in a non-ovulatory cycle. Clomid will help you ovulate, and therefore, if not pregnant, give you your period about 2 weeks after ovulation. So in your situation, there could be two reasons...

1. Clomid often makes people ovulate a little later than the typical ay 14, and if you ovulate late, your period would be expected later as well.

or

2. Your current dose of clomid did not help you ovulate, and this is why you're not getting your period. If this is the case, your doctor will probably prescribe a higher dose next month

Of course, there's also a chance your pregnant ;-)

Best of luck!

When I took clomid, my cycles were always much longer and AF much heavier.
