Can sperm fertilize egg in the Uterus?

I know that everyone and every book states that egg and sperm meet in the tubes. But can it ever happen when in the uterus before the egg crumbles and the lining shed??????????

It takes the embryo 5 days of travel (after fertilized) to be the stage it needs to be to implant. The egg will disintegrate 12-24hrs after is is released, it will not survive long enough to make the journey to the uterus without having been fertilized.

Ok thanks so much .....I was a lil hazy about that.......so that is why you have to BD so many times before ovulation so when the egg is released the sperm is waiting on it.......That make so much sense thanks so so so much!
