Can taking progesterone supp. too early mess things up?

I posted below about having 5 days (now 6) positive opks this week.  I THINK I already ovulated but I still can't tell for sure as my BBT was creeping up and went up to 98 yesterday and then down to 97.5 today!  I'm quite confused.  I'm supposed to start the progesterone supps. but I'm worried if I haven't actually ovulated that doing so will screw things up.  I was thinking about BDing during the day today and then starting the progesterone tonight.

Any thoughts?

FYI- I do not have PCOS and I am on clomid days 5-9 (100 mgs).

Any advice would be VERY much appreciated!

thanks tina..I appreciate your response.  I was reading about the "fall-back" rise in TCOYF so maybe that is what happened.  My temp went up from 97.5 yesterday to 98.1 this morning (above coverline) so I decided to assume that I ovulated sometime yesterday and I did the progesterone today.  Am so hoping that was an ok decision for me!!

Sometimes, the temp will drop after o then shoot back up again. This is what they call a "fallback rise". I would confirm o with another high temp b4 starting the progesterone. It takes 5-6 days for the egg to transform and get to the uterus to implant. So, you will still have time. If you haven't o'd, the progesterone will tell your body that you have o'd and could stop it from happening.
