Can you tell anything about Progesterone by monitoring bbt?

Hey ladies, I have a question.  I have had two consecutive m/c but the doctor hasn't done any testing yet.  My first happened at 7wks and the second at 5wks.  Can you tell if you have low progesterone by charting temps?  With this last m/c, I was taking my temps everyday and they never fell until after I m/c.  Does that mean that my progesterone is not the problem?  I'm just trying to find answers and avoid any more pain.  I can't understand why doctors hold off on testing until 3 m/c in a row.  If I can find a reason then maybe I won't have to suffer again.  Thanks for any help.

i do not know if you can tell a progesterone level by bbt's. i do know that there are homeopathic progesterone creams that you can use on a regular basis to increase your progesterone levels. i have had 4 m/c in the past year. the md put me on clomid to increase the size of my follicles which he thought would then produce more progesterone if i became pregnant. clomid worked but i still m/c'd. anyway sorry i wasn't much help, but if i were you, i would atleast try the cream. it is soo frustrating that these docs don't do testing until after 3 m/c. good luck to you!

I don't think u can tell prog level by BBTs...Only blood work can confirm that.Y don't u get ur blood work done urself for prog???It has to be done on day 21 from ur periods.Or maybe get a second opinion.....More prog is not gonna harm u,but low may lead to mc's.....so its better to take supplements beforehand.
Good Luck & baby dust to u!!

Thanks for your replies.  The thing is, each time I've had a m/c, there has always been an empty sac.  Nothing ever develops.  Now, could this be a result of low progesterone or just chromosomal?  I figured it was chromosomal. I was never able to see either of my babies on an u/s.  There's never anything there.  It's heartbreaking.  I will be so overjoyed the day I have an u/s and see a beating heart!

I know that if your progesterone isn't high enough, you will not have the temperature rise necessary to ensure implantation of the embryo.
You must have the noticeable rise in temps after O to know that you are producing enough progesterone.
