Cancelled cycle

Was my ivf cycle suppose to be cancelled if all of my blood work came back good with the exception of my progestrone level?  My level was a 12.2 and my doctor told me that he had to cancel because I began to ovulate...was I suppose to ovulate?  I was scheduled for retreival June 15th or 16th.  I started the medication's on June 1, 2008...normal cycle... on June 11 that mornig blood work was completed my estrogen was 1200 and progestrone was 12.2 with 7 measurable follicles (good size)...I'm 37 years of age.  I was told that afternoon to stop the medication and that I cound't go any further...I'm confused...I was taking follistim, menopur and lupron.  What questions could I ask my doctor?...this was my first time...

They may need to up your lupron dosage so you dont start to ovulate before they want you to. With Ivf the timing has to be perfect so the can get the eggs before they are released.
