Looking for cycle buddies! I know there are a few of us very close (mommyin08,candie- we can keep in touch through this post!) We all love having cycle buddies, so anyone who is close, please join us!
Hi and welcome!! It's SO nice to have people to talk to that are so close in cycles! Are you doing a medicated cycle, or a natural? This is my 3rd medicated cycle, and 4th month ttc'ing. I'm on clomid 100mg, and produced 2 eggs last month, so i'm hoping for 2 or 3 this month!! My very first medicated cycle, i was on 50 mg of clomid and i only produced 1 egg. So they upped it last month to 100 mg so i would make more then 1 to up my chances. My next appointment is a week from this wednesday, on june 4th, to see how many follicles
i have and how big they are. Then i will give the shot that night, and iui on the 6th. Good luck to you!! I'm hoping to see lots of BFP's out of this post!!! Talk to ya soon!
luvkayln: Great idea to start this post ! I didn't realize we both have our appt. on 6/4 :) So, were you on 50 mg for just the one cycle or two? Here's hoping for multiple eggs !!!
TrishV72: Welcome !!! It really is helpful to have positive people to talk to :)
Today is CD6 & I started clomid 50 mg for the first time yesterday. I'm excited to try something new & hoping it works for me :)
Glad to see you found this post!! :) That's so great we have our appointment on the same day! I didn't even realize that! That's so funny! :) I was on 50 mg for my first cycle, then 100mg last cycle and also for this cycle. I've heard a lot of girls producing more then 1 egg on 50mg and i thought i would since i already ovulate on my own. But 100 mg did the trick for me!!
I am so glad you started this thread. I am cycle day 8 today, so I guess I'm a little ahead of the rest of you, but I'd love to have some friends to go through these long waits with. As some of you may know, I have unexplained infertility
. I was on Clomid for 4 cycles and then Femara for another 4 and everything looked perfect, but we still haven't gotten our BFP. I'm now taking a break from the meds (but not from TTC of course!) and hoping something wonderful will happen. Maybe if we all join forces and pray for each other, we'll end up with lots of success stories this time around!
luvkayln - I also wanted to thank you for your kind words on the 2ww thread. I haven't been on here in a few days and just now saw that. I know what you mean, I've always said that if I didn't have to work, I wouldn't and would love to be a stay at home mom. I feel like that's the greatest work you could do in life. And it's OK, you can make me cry as much as you want. that's what I'm here for!
mommyin08 - Thanks for the advice on the progesterone test. I think I'm definitely calling this week to try to get the ball rolling for this cycle. I'm so glad that we're not the only ones that have chosen to keep our situation from our parents. At times, I feel so bad because I feel like I'm keeping a secret from them, but like you said, it would make it too hard if they were invovled in the process and putting additional pressure
on us. I know they wouldn't mean too, but I know it would happen. My husband is actually an only child and I have one younger brother, so neither of our parents have any grandkids, so I really feel bad that they've been missing out on that too. I just hope all of our prayers will be answered too.
Trish - I didn't mean to ignore you! I met luvkayln and mommyin08 on another thread and they have been wonderful. I'm so glad that we now have another (and hopefully more) friend to share this journey with. Welcome!
I'm cd4 and along with Candie will be taking a natural route this cycle. I have done 6 rounds of clomid with no luck. In April we tried our first cycle of IUI (with injections and HCG trigger) and got nothing out of it except for cysts (as luvkayln knows! :)
So, I found out today that the cysts are cleared up and that I can start TTC again. I'm not doing any meds this cycle but will be monitored so I can see the progress of the follies and hopefully get the right timing with dh (although he is travelling early June so it could mess things up)
Either way, I'm happy to be officially TTC again! I'm also starting accupunture tomorrow to see if that helps. Has anyone tried it?
Candie: We're almost in the same boat, then. Although my sis has four kids, she lives out of state & my parents rarely see their grandkids. My sis isn't overly excited about having them visit, so it's pretty sad
for them & frustrating for me 'cause I sometimes feel stuck in the middle. Anyway, that's another reason why we're not telling our parents we're trying. I think my mom would totally run with the idea & then be let down (and of course that would be much more stressful on my end !) Well, good luck to you this cycle. We're switching it up this time. You're going med-free & I'm trying clomid! So, we'll see how that works for us !
Luvkayln: My appt. is 10 a.m. Pacific time. What about you? :) I'm O'ing on my own, too, so was thinking the same thing you wrote above ! I'll have to remind myself that it may not work the first time. I'll just have to be patient :)
Ladies I'm so sorry, I looked at this real fast before leaving to I'm really 3dpo. Sorry I'm really new to this. would have loved to have someone to talk to.
Trish- that's ok sweetie! :) The girls on the 2ww thread are GREAT! There is a TON of support there, we'll all be back on that thread before real soon! Hopefully when we get there, you'll have gotten a BFP!!!
Stacey & candie- So glad you found this thread!! It's nice to have all my friends on here! It's a much easier way to keep in contact with everyone.
mommyin08- my appointment is at 8 a.m., and i'll only be there for a total of 10 minutes, they always see me right away and an u/s takes no time at all! My RE is 30 minutes away, so hopefully i will be back in time to tell you my results before you go to your appointment! Hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones and will get pregnant on your first try! :)
Good luck to all of you!!! I just know we're going to see some BFP's out of this thread!! Lots of baby dust to all of us!!!!
I am 4dpo! Just wanted to be included! I have been in the "get lucky" thread, but it doesn't look like it is being kept up? No one gets on it much anymore!
I am taking a break from meds this month and the next step is injectables...so I am hoping I get lucky without having to resort to that. Did the clomid, trigger, IUI thing, didn't work....I am now seeing a chiropractor for adjustements. My neck
It's ok! :) We would've loved to have you though!!! Hopefully a break away from the meds will do the trick for you! Good luck to you! Hoping for the best!
Stacey - Welcome! So nice to have more friends to share this journey with.
mommyin08 - Hopefully we'll have good news to share with our parents soon! That's so funny that we're switching places this cycle. I hope the Clomid works for you.
You can also add me to the list TTCers who don't share this journey with too many..especially my parents! That is one of the reasons I joined this community. I just needed to share with people who would understand. I have only told my sister (she has a one year old son) and one of my very good friends. I find that the fewer people that know, the better. Most of my friends have kids by now (I'm 34) and I have started to avoid some social functions because I hate answering the question "when are you going to have kids?". I try not to let it hold me back but it can be quite a burden.
Glad to know I am not alone in keeping my secrets! :) Maybe it will all end this cycle?
I totally understand what you mean ! We haven't told any family that we're ttc (except my sis who's sworn to secrecy!), & I've told a couple friends at work who have gone through infertility, but it is so nice to get online & speak openly & freely with all of you. It's funny that it feels like such a secret, yet it's really so positive :) My mother-in-law dropped by a couple weeks ago & I realized I had my progesterone in the fridge (had to quickly hide it!) and a note that I wrote after talking to my doctor, all about bd'ing & ovaries working well, etc. ! :) I am 35 & hoping to get that BFP before my 36th b-day. That's only almost 4 weeks away ! Hopefully we'll get our BFPs & then shake the secret ! :)
Hey, there ! It's funny that I'm so wrapped up in typing online & being excited to try clomid, as something new. I wrote to you that we're switching places this cycle...Then as I'm leaving for work this morning, I realize, OMG! I didn't take my clomid ! What a scatterbrain. I've got to focus :)
Stacey - I joined this community for the exact same reasons. I ended up telling a few friends because everyone kept asking, but now I regret it. One or two are really great about it, but the rest either aren't very supportive or just don't understand at all. It's so nice to find people who can relate to what we are going through. Thankfully my husband is my best friend, so no matter what I know I can always lean on him too. It's just hard to see him get disappointed. I want so much to give him a family. I've found myself avoiding certain situations too because it's so hard when people are so insensitive. Sometimes people just treat you like you're some horrible selfish person who is choosing not to have children. I've lost count of how many people have made me cry.
mommyin08 - I know what you mean. I'm always so careful about what I leave laying around the house. The past few weeks my dad has been over helping us with our kitchen and I keep hiding my prenatal vitamins in the back of the cabinets so he won't see them! Make sure you don't forget about your Clomid! I've been known to do crazy things like that too.
Hey girls! Just checkin' in on everybody! Sounds like everyone is doing good. I think if i were in a different situation, my family or friends wouldn't know about us ttc again. But since it's pretty obvious that we are b/c of the loss of kayln, there's no hiding it! My family and friends are very supportive about it. They are upset when af does arrive for me, but they just tell me " On to next month!" and that's exactly how i feel too. Just keep going until i get my baby! :) I know it's frustrating each month when we do see that BFN, but all this will be so worth it when we finally get to see that BFP! :) We just have to all keep positive!
Luvkayln: Good morning ! :) You're so right. All we can do is stay positive & try again next cycle. It will happen ! I'm confident :) I was curious, does the day you start clomid have to do with the dosage? I'm just wondering why I'm taking it cd5-9 & it seems like you & I are a day off ?? Just one week to go before our ultrasounds !
Candie: That's so funny about hiding your pills ! I totally understand 'cause my family is comfortable enough to look in my fridge, etc., so I'm looking around & thinking I've really got to be more careful :) Luckily I didn't forget my clomid yesterday. I was literally walking out the door when I realized :)
mommyin08- Good morning to you! :) No, it doesn't matter what day you start your pills, but they have to be taken by cd 5-9. I just like taking mine early, to get it over with, and give my ovaries and lining a few extra days to grow! Some women ovulate late on clomid, i ovulate on cd 16. When i wasn't on it, i ovulated on cd 18, so it helped me out. It just depends on how your body reacts to it. I love it though, it's working for me plus it's the cheapest out there! :) And i know it will work for you too, since you are feeling it in your ovaries. I'm glad you didn't forget your clomid yesterday!! OMG...that would've been bad! :)
candie & stacey- how are you 2 doing today?
mommyin08 & luvkayln - Glad to hear you are both doing good. Nothing we can do now except to wait to O!
mommyin08 - As far as I've been able to tell, it seems like the days you take your clomid really depend on what your doctor's orders are. I've seen people on here take it days 3-7, 4-8, and 5-9. I was like you with days 5-9. And just to warn you, I'm not sure what your cycles are typically like, but I always got positive OPK's around day 12 on my own, but with Clomid, it delayed it until day 15 or 16. I was totally freaking out the first month. Since you'll be getting an ultrasound though, it shouldn't be as uncertain for you.
We are definitely in the same boat! I also feel very lucky to have supportive husband who also feels that this is our own personal journey. People can be very insensitive. When someone asks me "So when are you going to have kids?" my blood boils! I never asked anyone that question even before I knew I had fertility issues. I don't even know how to answer it anymore.
mommyin08 - I hope you get your BFP as a birthday present! Wouldn't that be wonderful?
So, I had an accupunture appt last night. It was "interesting". I can't say that I really enjoyed it (there were needles stuck into my body!) , but apparently it does help with fertility issues. It is good for circulation for your organs (helps with your uterine lining etc). So, I figure that I will try it for a few months. I have read about other ladies doing accupunture with ttc on this forum. I did notice that I had an amazing sleep last night. I figure I've got nothing to loose! :)
Candie, I know you are on a natural cycle this time around, but are you doing any ultrasounds or anything to monitor your follies? I'm also natural this cycle but am monitoring through u/s. I go on Friday - my cd8.
Mommyin08 and luvkayln - I think your next appt is June 4? Hope your follies are growing growing growing!
I missed some posts while I was writing mine :) so I'm a little behind.
I did 6 rounds of clomid and I found it really regulated me to a 30 day cycle (o'd around day 16). My cycles can vary from 28-40 days so I really liked that about Clomid.
I actually took them day 7-11. My doctor suggested that because my cycle was naturally longer.
I did find by the 5th and 6th cycle that it was not as predictable but I stayed with 50mg and probably should have gone to 100mg.
I hope that the accupuncture works wonders for you. I've heard a lot of good things about it too, so it can't hurt, right? I could imagine it would be a little weird though. I'm not having any monitoring this cycle and probably won't be for a while. I go to an OBGYN and they really don't do that unless you beg. Out of the 8 cycles on clomid/femara, I only had 3 ultrasounds. I'm using OPK's and BBT's, so I think I'll be fine on my own.
Stacey1718: So, how often will you go for acupuncture? I'm really curious about this :) Is there a "fertility" treatment or you just go, like anyone else? Meaning, do you have to list a reason or an ailment as to why you're seeking their help? Please keep me updated on how you feel in the coming weeks. I sure hope it works for you !
I just had the "when are you having kids" conversation at work & it irks me, too ! One lady (single, 50) tells me I should have at least two kids! Because I don't want to spread all over my workplace that I'm trying, I said, if & when the time is right, I'll be happy with whatever comes my way. She still insisted that I had to have at least two ! AAAGH!!! I asked my friend who does know I'm ttc, how can anyone make a statement like that when they have no idea if I CAN"T have kids, if I've been trying forever, etc. You never know what someone is going through. Okay, I'm fine now. I just had to vent ! :)
Candie & Luvkayln: That makes sense about the different days to take clomid. Thanks for all the info ! You're right, Candie, I will go for an u/s on 6/4, so I guess I'll have a little extra info this cycle?! This will be my first time seeing how my follies are growing, so I'm actually really excited :) It should be interesting. I'm still going to use my opks, but I'm guessing I'll O a few days after my u/s. I will keep in mind that some of you ladies O'd later while on clomid. That's good to know.
Luvkayln: Is it a fair description of clomid to say it's kicking your ovaries into gear ? I feel just like I do just before I O & so I'm thinking maybe it's working ?? How are you ?
mommyin08- It sounds like it's working! :) That's exactly how i feel, just like i could ovulate at any second! I always liked using the opk's, but since i will have the u/s and then give the shot, i don't need to use them. But you DO use them, since you aren't giving yourself a shot. I'm sorry about that woman saying that to you at work. People shouldn't talk like that, they have no idea what any of us are going through.
Girls-...... not too much more to go until we all ovulate and will be in the 2ww together! That's so awesome that we all know each other, and we're all going to be very close in our 2ww! I'm so happy to have gotten to know all of you, it's great to have you all as friends!
Hi! You are WAY ahead of us! :) We're just all hangin' out, waitin' to ovulate.... :) I hope you don't have to try again next cycle, hopefully this one will bring you a BFP!! Good luck to you also!
Thank you again luvkayln for bringing us together. I really look forward to reading these posts in the morning. I feel positive this cycle and I think a lot of it has to do with meeting and speaking with you ladies.
Regarding the accupuncture - I will be going once a week for a one hour session. It is specific to infertility. I gave a lot of my background on my issues along with sleep patterns, appetite, and a lot more. Because it is infertility they place the needles in specific places (including my belly...ewwww :) ) and then they place a heat lamp over top of the needles. I guess that draws blood to the area and it helps with circulation to your reproductive organs. The needles hurt a tiny bit when they are going in, but it's not bad :). They have a special schedule when going through IUI which I might try for my next IUI cycle (10 sessions during the cycle). I find it interesting too. I'll keep you guys up to date on if I feel any different over the next few weeks!
mommyin08 & luvkayln - it sounds like the clomid is kicking in! Grow follies grow! Mommyin08, I also find it fascinating to watch them grow. It's really amazing and they are all little monthly miracles in themselves! Luvkayln - do you notice a difference with 100mg?
Candie - I think it is good to have a cycle on your own. I feel like I have my body back this cycle with no cysts and no meds. It's a nice break and you never know, we could get a couple of surprise bfps!
mommyin08 - I can't believe how insensitive your co-worker was. I bet there were a million things running through your mind that you woul've liked to have said! ;) I agree with luvkayln, it sounds like the Clomid is working its magic. Oh, how I hope this gives you the boost you need! The couple months I had the ultrasounds, I was just amazed. It is so awesome to see what your body can do. I really had hoped that I would get my BFP's during those cycles so that I could say I saw our baby when they were "just an egg", but I guess it wasn't meant to be.
luvkayln - I couldn't agree more!! I am so happy that we can all share this journey together. I feel so blessed to have found such great friends.
Stacey - You will definitely have to keep us updated on your acupuncture. The thought of needles in my body definitely freaks me out, but that would be great to try if it helps. I have to say that even though the side effects on Clomid/Femara weren't too bad for me, and it would've been worth it had it worked, I definitely feel more like myself again. Although being that I live in Western PA, the fact that it is FINALLY warming up and we've had some sunshine might be helping my mood too. :) A surprise BFP would be so great! We probably all dreamed at one point that one day we would be late one month and take a pregnancy test and have it be positive and be so excited....and then you start TTC and struggle so much and realize that it's not going to be easy and that dream goes right out the window. I just pray that we all get our POAS, BFP deliriously happy moment soon!
I joined this community for the same reasons as you - as most. My husband is doing the accupuncture (low motilaty). I tried it, but could not relax. Trying meditation an reading the Tao of Infertility. I have heard wonderful things about accupuncture for men and women. Let me know how it goes!
Candie - we must be close. I am in Western PA too! As hard as it is, every cycle, I have to believe I will have a BFP (and for now - every cycle, my hopes are dashed) But I am staying positive!
Mommy in 08 - your coworker is very rude! There is a lot of positive information on the web about accupunture - while you have to consider the source - my feeling is there is a connection there. Unfortunately, as with all of this, it is quite expensive and most insurance does not cover it (at least those here in Western PA).
mommyin08- Right back at 'cha! :)
Stacey- I couldn't agree with you more! This is the first thing i think about when i wake up, getting on here and reading all the posts, seein' how everyone is doing! I love it! I totally agree that i feel very positive for this cycle also, and i know it's because all of you girls!! Honestly, i had more side affects with clomid 50 ng then 100 mg. The only thing that was different on 100 mg is i had 2 eggs instead of 1. And that's all i really wanted out of clomid, more then 1 egg. I really hope that accupuncture works! I've heard a lot of girls say it worked miracles on them! That's cool they have a special schedule if you are doing iui, hopefully you won't have to worry about doing that for next cycle!
Candie- I love being able to see all my follies grow too through u/s. It'll be so awesome when i can say to my baby, that i saw the process of them in the making! I'm glad it's finally warming up in PA! It's been hot in MO now for a while, and i love it!! Are you using opk's this month since you are doing all natural? You should be getting close, right? Since you were a few days ahead of us in your cycle. I'll ovulate in 8 days, i love that i know when it's going to happen! :)
arlotheslug- I hope the accupuncture works on your hubby! Where are you at in your cycle? Are you waiting to ovulate as well? :)
I am on day 29. I think I ovulated on day 19 - waiting for bloodwork. This first cycle was a trial run to see how my body likes the Clomid! So, I am a little ahead of you all.
Good morning :) I agree with you all. I love this site, too & it's even more enjoyable after getting to know people & I have to say, this is the first cycle where I feel like I have good friends on here & I'm feeling positive, too :) Yes, I am excited for my u/s. It would be great to say we saw our babies from the very beginning :) That's a great thought !
Luvkayln: Thanks for the note last night. I really enjoyed that cup of coffee ! :)
Candie: You are so right! I had a million negative responses in my head, but had to stay calm & just blow it off. This lady is really a nice person, but has no idea what I'm thinking about 24/7 & the whole experience just makes me more sensitive to others 'cause you just never know what people are going through. I had another lady (couple years ago) tell me I had to have at least one baby 'cause she wanted to go to another baby shower !!! In my head, I'm, like, hey, that's a great reason & why do you think I would invite you ?!
Anyway, one day I won't have this "secret" at work :) I just have to stay calm & be patient.
Stacey: The acupuncture sounds promising. I didn't realize there was a fertility plan & IUI schedule. That's great ! Luvkayln it right, though. I hope you won't have to move on to the IUI sched. :) Keep us updated on how you're feeling.
Arlotheslug: Welcome to this thread :) I hadn't even thought about acupuncture for male fertility. That's amazing ! Good luck to you & your hubby :)
Arlotheslug - Welcome! That's so cool that we're both in PA. I think we've all been going through the same vicious cycle - get hopeful, do everything we can, wait the 2 weeks, get diappointed again, and then somehow find the strength to start all over. All we can do is keep believing it will happen soon! Hope Clomid works for you and your bloodwork comes back good.
luvkayln - Yes, it's finally in the 70's here. Before this week, we had rain for 18 of the past 20 days, so it's good to finally see some sun and be able to take the dog for a nice long walk every day. Today is cd11 for me and I'm starting my OPK's today. I didn't get my positive test until cd14 last time, but I always start early just to be sure. The weird thing is that my temp was 97.9 this morning and it's never that high until after O. I'm assuming it's just a fluke because I never O this early.
OK, now I really need to get some work done today! I'll check in again when I get home from work this evening. Have a good day everyone!
That 97.9 bbt is probably just a fluke. I do my temps too, and on cd 4 my temp was 98.6, and that's an after ovulation temp for me. Obviously i didn't ovulate while i was still on my period! :) A lot of things can affect your temps, ya know? Gosh, that much rain! It must be nice to see the sunny side of PA! :) I have to totally agree with how our cycles go! Just waiting to be dissappointed every month. But one of these months, we'll probably die of shock when that BFP comes!! :) Have a great day at work! Just waiting for my hcg shot to arrive, then it's off to work for me too! I'll be back on around 10 to check on everyone, especially hoping4_2. I'm really worried about her!
we are pretty close in this cycle...i am CD 28 and 7dpo....are you having any kinds of symptoms yet? i have and i dont know what to think as i have been very tired, crampy, and sore bbs...which has NEVER happened before af....BUT i DID just get IUD out May 2nd...so maybe it totally messed my system up. idk but i am hoping for a bfp right away....i promised soon to be dh(we are getting married august 08) that i would wait to test til June 8th....i dont know if i have the willpower to wait that long...maybe you girls can help me take my mind off of everything,
I KNOW...i'll concentrate on ALL OF YOU, instead of worrying about my own testing...:D that sounds like a plan....LOL
good luck to you all this cycle hopefully you catch it this month and have a BFP very soon.
hugs and super super sticky baby dust coming at ya
Lots of exciting things happening with all of us. I have to also say that I aboslutely agree about the weather! I live in Canada and the weather is definitely making me feel better! Today was 75 and sunny - thank goodness! It is so nice to be outside to hear the birds and smell the BBQs!
Joyce and Arlotheslug - Hope you get your BFPs very soon! Joyce, sounds maybe like something good is happening? We will try and help you keep away from the test until June 8!! I am sure you have wedding plans also!?!? Arlotheslug, I don't blame you for not being relaxed with accupuncture - I'm not sure if I was that relaxed to tell you the truth!
Candie - I don't track my temps regularily anymore. It stressed me out to much because my temps were fluky a lot! But it does sound like that is an odd temp and I would for the most part ignore it.
Mommyin08 - I did not comment before but your coworker is very rude. The things that people can say and feel ok about saying it!! What are they thinking??
Luvkayln - Did you take your HCG trigger already?? I noticed you said you were waiting for it. Or was it just being delivered? I hope we all don't need to worry about next cycle!!
I have an u/s tomorrow to see the progress of my cd8 follies. I'll let you know how they look! Have a great evening ladies and I look forward to checking in tomorrow morning.
Stacey1718: what part of canada are you in....i am in Kincheloe, MI which is only about 20 minutes of Sault Saint Marie, Michigan...canadian border...lol
i know it is difficult at best to keep from testing but it doesnt help when tonight i asked dh to grab some tests from ebay...cause they are name brand and CHEAP...and he flat out told me NO. WTF...it is like he almost doesnt want to know. he wants to wait til june 8th...that is fine and dandy BUT why not save some money while we are at it? i just dont get it.
wedding plans...not really we are probably just gonna go to the courthouse courtyard...whoppeee.
i am stressing over the whole dh thing and it shouldnt be that big of a deal, but to me it is...
i am not sure if af is actually coming or not....lol...run to bathroom at times cause of a wet feeling and nothing....
not sure exactly when af is even DUE....if i am 28 day cycle then i O'd late and it still should be here tomorrow...if i am a 34 day cycle it should be here on June 5th...my last period was May 2nd....GRRRRR i hate not knowing how to read my body....and i am about ready to just cry which i seem to do alot lately.....UGH
Joyce - I am in Toronto so you are even further north than I am! :)
Do you think your dh is afraid to be disappointed (and to see you get disappointed??) If I had them in the house I would certainly use them. I know exactly how you feel with the running to the bathroom - thinking she has arrived but being relieved when it is not her! I really hope she stays away and you get a BFP!!!
I had my u/s this morning and everything looks "normal". I'm cd8 and had 3 follies at 10 and a bunch more at 9, 8 and 7.... I go back on Monday to check.
My dh is away until next Friday so I hope I ovulate late this cycle (day 16 or 17) - I normally do on a natural cycle.
Have a great day ladies! I'm off work today to spend the day with my mom so will check in on Saturday. Thinking BFP thoughts for all.
So, I finished my clomid yesterday. It's funny 'cause in the first few days of taking it, I felt like I was O'ing or getting ready to & now, nothing at all, except that I'm exhausted ! (But I've been busy at work & staying up late, etc., so who knows if it's the clomid.) I'll just have to wait and see if it worked...
Luvkayln (& everyone else who has taken clomid): Do you feel side effects all throughout your cycle? I know we're all different. I'm just curious :)
Stacey: Glad to hear your u/s results :) That's so exciting to me since I haven't gone through it before. So, you'll go back on Monday for another u/s? I will go on Wed. Enjoy your day with your mom! :)
Joyce: I agree with Stacey; that your dh-to-be is probably trying to avoid the disappointment for both of you. If you test too early, you'll get a bfn, which even though we know we're testing too early, always sucks ! And it's true that if you have the tests in the house, they won't last ! (From my experience anyway!)
Getting married at the courthouse can be just as romantic as any fancy wedding. It's all in the attitude & the excitement you both have in being together :) I'm happy for you ! Best, best wishes to you !!!
Joyce - I agree with Stacey. Obviously, our guys aren't as invovled in the day to day worries like we are about what is going on with our bodies, but I think they get just as upset as nervous. The bad thing is, the whole guy code says they have to be tough, so they don't express to us how they really feel. Sometimes when AF shows up, my DH will give me hugs and tell me it will be OK, then later on or the next day he'll be really crabby and finally confess how disappointed he is. I think part of it may be that they see us get so sad and they don't want to make us feel worse by admitting they are sad too. Just hang in there and we'll do our best to keep your spirits up! Congratulations on your wedding!! Like mommyin09said, it's not about all the hoopla, it's about a special day to express your commitment to each other.
Stacey - so glad to hear that your ultrasound went so well. Lots of nice follies! Yeah!! Hopefully they will keep growing and stay put until your dh is back. Enjoy the day with your mom!
mommyin09 - love the name change! I know it will come true! That's so exciting that you are done with your Clomid. Hopefully you will get good us results next week. I'm sure the exhaustion is related to the Clomid. I know when I was on that, and especially when I was on the Femara, I would sit down on the couch to watch TV at night and fall right to sleep. I was so tired, I felt like I just couldn't go on. Then when I got closer to O, my abdomen would feel really heavy, almost like my ovaries were swollen and I would get twinges off and on.
luvkayln - did you get your hcg shot yesterday? You're right - we probably all will fall over from shock when we do finally see that BFP!
As for me, my temps were once again super high today. I'm still going to keep taking the OPK's to see if it ever does become positive, but part of me is a little worried that I O'd really early for some reason. Back before I was ever on meds, I did get positive OPK's as early as cd11 once in a while, so who knows. We bd 4 days ago and again yesterday, so hopefully we caught it if I did.
Hey, there ! Thanks for the clomid info. Maybe that IS why I'm so tired ! I'm about to leave for work & all I can think about is when I get back home :) I should O late next week, so I'll keep in mind the heavy abdomen feeling. I'm using opks, too, just to be sure & bd'ing every other night. DH is so cute ! He's so "into" this whole ttc & really busy with work lately ! He works 12-hr days & comes home exhausted. Then as he's starting to relax at home, he says to me, okay. So, Wed, Fri., Sat., Tues? I thought that was so cute ! He was trying to remember our bd schedule. (my doc said every other night starting the day before my last clomid.) You're so right, though. I think our dh's do try to stay strong for us 'cause they see us get so defeated every time AF comes. I try so hard to stay positive, but the day she comes, I'm so bummed !
Sounds like you covered your bases if you did O early. Good luck !!! :)
thank you candie, stacey and mommyin09....for the words of encouragement...it is appreciated and you are probably right, but it just bothers me that he straight out told me NO...
anyhow i am glad to hear that everyone is doing good, hopefully this will be the right cycle for everyone.
was just curious though, if you O late, will that make your af late too?
i am not sure what day i should start af IF she shows as like i have said before not sure if cycle is messed up due to IUD or not....so hopefully i will know soon.
regardless of when af is due, i wont get a pos until at least 10-14 dpo right? 8dpo right now...ugh...and i have to wait til June 8th....that is 9 whole days away....lol
anyhow i hope all goes well for everyone and chin up...i will try to do the same
TONS of super super sticky sticky baby dust coming ya'lls way
Hey girls! Just got home from work, and what a LONG day it has been! So glad to finally be home to see how your girls are doing! :)
mommyin09- that's normal, about the clomid. I stopped taking my pills a couple days ago, and haven't felt anything since that day i could barely walk, remember? Until today, my ovaries are starting to get sore again, but that's b/c i'm getting ready to O. It may be a little too early to start opk's for you, but i'd rather be early and catch it then start testing late and miss it! I have a fade in pattern when i use them. It gradually gets darker and darker, until finally it's positive. I love that, b/c then i know O is coming very soon!
Stacey- Wow! That's amazing you had that many follies! I hope they grow and grow! Monday is your next u/s, i'm glad you are still being monitered. If i were to go au naturalle like you :) i would still def want to be monitered. How is your accupuncture going? No, i haven't taken my shot yet. I was just waiting for fedex to deliver it. I'll take it wednesday night around 10, then iui on friday morning. On what day do you plan on starting opk's?
Candie- I couldn't have said it better! My dh is the exact same way! :) They truely are just as upset as we are to see af come, but don't show it like us. I'm glad your temps are staying high. I think you probably did O early, b/c your temps are up. That's ok though, it sounds like you bd on the right days! Lucky you, already in the 2 ww!!! So, on what day did you notice your temp rise so we can see how many dpo you are. When is af due for you?
Joyce- I'm sorry you are so stressed! Since i've been ttc, i've never noticed my body better! It's amazing that before, i never payed attention, and now i know exactly when everything is going to happen. Is this your first month ttc? The more cycles you are observant about your body, the more it will become natural for you to read into. When was your period in april? I don't think you have to wait all the way until the 8th to test. I think your period will be due before then. Do you know how long you LP is? Because you are right, you ovulate 14 days before af comes. My LP is 15 days long though, b/c i take progesterone suppositories in case i get pregnant. And it postpones me a day. Yes, if you ovulate late, it will postpone af.
Alright girls, i'm pooped! I'm glad everyone is doing well! :) I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
well i was on Merina IUD and so for the months of Jan-April i spotted 2-3 a week...every week...so i am not sure WHEN my af in april was. i am not sure when my LP is either..this is my first cycle ttc as you can probably tell.
i am not sure if i am suppose to count ovulation days by the first day i notice ewcm or if there is another day that i am suppose to go by.
i have been having some twingy type of feelings on both sides where i am assuming my ovaries are, and so i am not sure what that means...i tried to check cervix and it feels hard but cant tell if it is wet or what....and it always feels weird like twingy deep inside after i try to check it...kinda like that feeling you get after a pap...yuck
anyhow i am heading to bed i think a early night is in order
Hi. I'm not one who is comfortable checking cervix position, but I have found that charting my temps helps quite a bit. If you log on to fertilityfriend.com, you can just plug in your numbers & they'll do the rest for you :) You'll see when you've O'd, after you have three consecutive high temps. I also use opk's. I actually get the clearblue digital ones, with the happy face/empty face. That way, I don't have to guess if the line is darker or not. I get a happy face & it tells me I have an lh surge :) "LP" is your luteal phase & that is the period of time from ovulation to your period. It should be somewhere between 12-14 days. I hope this helps :) Take care !
Good morning ladies!
Joyce- i was going to say everything mommyin09 said! I was going to suggest using opk's and to use the clearblue easy ones as well! That way, there is no confusion. Opk's can't tell you when you ovulated, they only forewarn you of when you will. Doing bbt charting will tell you on what day you ovulated, but by the time FF catches it, it will have been to late to bd, unless you kind of had an idea of when you were going to O and you bd anyways. So by using opk's and bbt, you can bd at the right times, and get an accurate O date. When/if you start again, you will find out how long you Lp is. Because you do know what day you ovulated, right? Going by ewcm isn't good enough, b/c you can have that up to 5 days before you actually ovulate. Hope this helps! :)
mommyin09- Your so funny! I'm not one that's comfortable checking my cervix either! I can barely to do the vaginal progesterone suppositories! :) Are you using ff to chart your bbt? I am, but i just want to warn you, i was told that if you use clomid, your temps could be all over the place( since it's a hormone replacement) and you probably won't get an accurate ovulation date by temping. But don't worry, they check the progress of your follies through u/s, and if your using opk's and feeling the twinges in your ovaries, you know O has come. I'm not sure if that's true or not, about temps not being accurate or not, but i wanted to give you a heads up just in case it is true. I don't usually do my temps, because i know when i ovulate because we moniter through u/s, i usually just temp the last week before af is due to see if my temps drop like they always do a couple days before af shows. This month i am temping the entire time, just to see if that's true or not.
Have a happy saturday all!!! I'm off to work! :(
Oh, so sorry you have to work today ! :-( I was SO exhausted this week, I couldn't wait to sleep in today (well, until 7:45 anyway!) Yes, I agree. I'm not thrilled to do the progesterone supp. either. My dh is kind of a joke-ster & so when it's time for my prog., he's not allowed to make jokes or comments or knock on the bathroom door to startle me...Nothing ! :-)
Thanks for the heads-up about my temps when on clomid. I had the same problem when I started progesterone. That causes them to be a little higher, too; but I figure with charting, using opks & bd'ing every other day till I get that surge (then it's every day!), I should have covered all bases :-) When I do my u/s, will it show whether I've O'd or not? I think I'm supposed to O next Thurs/Fri. Yes, I chart on FF, too. I do it starting 3-4 days after AF's gone.
Have a great weekend !!!
On wednesday the u/s will show how big your follicles are and how many you have. If you have an iui done, then they will do an u/s the day after to make sure that you did ovulate. I'm not sure if they will check you for that since you aren't having an hcg shot and your not doing iui this cycle. This will be my 3rd iui, and they only checked me the day after iui the first time to ensure that i did ovulate. And since i did, they don't need to check the day after anymore since the shot does work on me. Let me know when you get a positive opk! :) I can't wait till wednesday, it seems like it's taking forever to get here! But i'm off the next 2 days, finally! :) So hopefully it will be here before i know it, i'll be busy all day tomorrow...housework! Fun! Have a great weekend!
Good morning ladies!
I hope you are having a great weekend.
Luvkayln - it sounds like you are going to have a great week coming up! U/s, IUI and a couple of days off. Perfect! I think this third try will be your BFP.
Mommyin09 - love the name change and I just know you won't have to change it again since you will be a mommy in 09! You are also having an exciting week! I look forward to hearing about your u/s!
Candie - How are your temps? Did you get a positive OPK yet?? Hope all the good timing with the bd works for you! I guess you are officially 2ww?
Joyce - how are you doing? June 8 is just a week away!! Do you think you can hold off to test? Have you been able to determine when af is due?
I have another u/s on Monday. I'm hoping I don't O before the weekend because dh is not back until Friday. I will be so mad if I O early because I never do! I have actually never used OPKs. Maybe I should try it this cycle? Just not sure if I will need to since I will be getting u/s frequently. I find my temperatures can be so up and down and confuse me more than anything, so I don't do temps anymore. What do you guys think?
Luvkayln: Hi there. No, I'm not getting IUI or hcg, just ultrasound. I know, I can't wait till Wed., either :) It's just a few days away now. I haven't gotten a positive opk yet, but I don't actually expect to till Tues or Wed. My temp shot up today, but I think that's just a fluke. That's great that you have a few days off. Enjoy !!!
Stacey1718: Let us know what you u/s shows :) I will hope for you that you don't O till dh gets home! I would be sooo bummed if that happened, but unfortunately it's totally out of our hands. I don't think you need to use opk's if you're being monitored so frequently. I'm still using them 'cause this is my first time doing an u/s, so maybe if I have to try again next cycle, I won't feel the need to use them. Thanks for the good vibes :) I can't imagine that I'd need another name change!
Candie: So, do you think you O'd? How are you doing?
Joyce: Any new symptoms? No sign of AF, I hope?! Are you still holding out on testing? I can't believe you can wait till June 8th ! I think I'd start testing around 12-13 dpo. I wouldn't be able to stand it, but good for you !!! :)
Hello girls! So sorry I've missed a day or two of your updates. Sometimes it gets away from me on the weekend! As for me, my temps have stayed high and I haven't gotten a positive OPK, so I'm assuming I O'd and missed it. I can't believe it was that early! I'm so bummed because I guess now I'm not truly your "cycle buddy" anymore, but please don't kick me out! :) By the looks of it, I'm guessing I'm 4dpo today.
mommyin09 - I wouldn't worry too much about your temps. Like luvkayln said, Clomid can make them weird, especially during the first part of your cycle. You could keep taking them, and even use OPK's, if you want to track a cycle that way just to see what happens, but it's probably not necessary since you'll be monitored so closely with the ultrasound. It will be here before you know it! And as for your cervical position, I'm in the same boat - I've tried it a few times, but I just can't do it! You're dh sounds really sweet. The support of our guys makes this all so much easier.
luvkayln - How are you? Probably counting down the days until your ultrasound! Just a few more days! Hope you got through all of your housework yesterday. I end up doing that a lot on Saturdays too, although now that the weather is improving, I've been trying to get as much done during the week as I can so that I can actually enjoy my days off! A woman's work is never done, right? :)
Joyce - I hope you're feeling better and not stressing so much. As the months go by (although hopefully you won't be at this for much longer!), you'll be able to figure out your body a little better. If you haven't used fertility friend, that would be a great start. It helps you track your cycles and determine when you O'd. If you have any specific questions, be sure to ask us and we'll try to help. I know this can all get overwhelming.
Stacey - I agree with mommyin09. You probably don't have to do the OPK's since you're so closely monitored, but you could try them just to see when you do get a positive and how that coincides with your ultrasound results. Hopefully this week flies by for you and your eggs stay put until your DH gets back!
sorry i havent hit this thread in a few days....i no longer have the crampy feeling as much, the heartburn and upset stomach is still there, two nights ago i flopped onto the bed and thought that i was gonna lose it, i felt sooo sick and i am still so tired...i can sleep for 10 hours and still want to go back to bed.
i secretly tested yesterday and got a bfn, but then i looked at the box and it is early (first day of missed period) so at 9dpo it would be sooooo early. but i no longer have any tests and so will have to wait, and i think when i do test it will be a digital...lol
also wondering the cramps are pretty much gone, is it possible that it could have been implantation?
anyhow there are days i am convinced that it is all in my head and that i will get af anytime...idk...but because i dont like the feeling of the deep inside crampy feeling after checking cervix...i am NOT doing that anymore...lol
anyhow good luck to all, and i am hoping for BFP's for everyone
Don't be bummed! You'll still be our cycle buddy :) Hopefully we'll be reading about your BFP soon after we are back in the tww ! Unless clomid makes me O much later than usual (as I've read), I should be there at the end of the week. I'm still charting bbt & using opk's, just 'cause I'm used to doing that. After the u/s on Wed., I may decide I don't have to do that next time (if there's a next time...) But for now, I'm covering all bases. You're right about my temps. They jumped from 97.3 - 98 - 97.4, so they are much more erratic than usual. Hey, maybe you O'd earlier 'cause you stopped using meds?
Take care & SSBD to you !!! :)
You're funny! I wouldn't have been able to wait either. I guess dh is pretty smart to want you to wait, huh? If we could just wait it out, we wouldn't be so let down by that BFN! You're right, though. 9 DPO is early. I hope your week flies by & AF stays clear ! :)
Joyce - I think your symptoms sound promising. I hope you're right and those cramps were implantation cramps! With their timing, that could very well be the case. Think positive and we'll pray that you'll be celebrating a BFP by the end of the week!
mommyin09 - Thanks for letting me stay! :) You have all been so sweet and have been such good friends, I'd miss you all too much! I can't wait to hear how your ultrasound goes on Wednesday. I bet you can't wait either! I'd probably still do the BBT/OPK too, it makes you feel more in control. I think you're right about me. My body is probably still adjusting. Last month was my first without meds and my cycle stayed about as long as it had while on the Femara, so maybe there was still some residual effects left over. Fertility friend is now saying I O'd, so I'm definitely way ahead of where I thought I'd be. Here's my chart:
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1f239c
Stacey - How did your ultrasound go today?
luvkayln - Looks like we haven't heard from you since Friday, so hope you had a good weekend! Almost ultrasound time, right?
Well, hope everyone has a good Monday! Talk to you later.
I had my ultrasound this morning and it showed that my follies did not grow...they actually are a bit smaller than on Friday...hmmm Very puzzling. The nurse said this can be "normal". I thought it was a bit strange but my bloodwork so far is "normal" also. Anyway, I go back on Wednesday to see the status. Anyone heard of shrinking follies? - I am now cd11. The good thing is I probably won't be ovulating within the next few days - but maybe I am having an anovulatory cycle - which does happen with me.
Joyce - this is getting exciting! (you are very sneaky - did you have a hpt hidden somewhere??) I'm not sure that I can wait until June 8 for you to test again!
Candie - glad you are staying with us! It's kind of nice that your cycle has progressed so quickly and it sounds like you bd'd at the right times.
Mommyin09 & luvkayln - I look forward to hearing about your ultrasounds this week! (and IUI for luvkayln!)
Have a great day and I'll check in with you ladies later.
Stacey
mommyin09: well i am just anxious...i finally asked him last night why he never wanted to talk about the possiblities, and he said that we dont want to say anything until after my youngest leaves for NC, cause face it...the kid has a big mouth...lol...and would tell everyone south of the mason dixon that he was gonna be a big brother...if i am.
candie: i sure hope you are right...i always thought that cramps or spotting when preg was a BAD thing... i am finding out that it is perfectly normal most of the time. go figure. i will let you know ASAP when i find out...17dpo should be long enough to get at least a faint pos...shouldnt it? that is IF i did O on the 22nd like i think i did...all i have to go on is the EWCM that i saw THAT day and that day only. idk
anyhow please everyone keep us posted as well love to hear about BFP's and we are here for you if you happen to get a bfn....
Oh my gosh, i'm not on here for a couple days and look at all i've missed! You girls are busy little bees! Yesterday i was so pooped! Dh and i spent the entire day cleaning this house, and doing laundry, and cutting grass, and weed eating, bla bla bla! Then when everything was done, we sat outside and had a little bonfire and relaxed! It was almost like we were camping, it was nice! I always think if kayln were here, what would she be doing right now. And last night, we would've all been enjoying that fire together! I miss her so much!!!
Ok ladies, let me get caught up!
Stacey- I'm sooo sorry your follies didn't grow! I wonder why they shrunk like that! Do you think that this is an annovulatory cycle b/c your not on any meds? I hope it's not! Hopefully your follies are just holdin' out until dh gets home!! I hope wednesday's u/s shows much improvement! If this is an annovulatory cycle, will you do meds next month to ensure that you ovulate? I don't think you need to do opk's either, i don't do them just b/c i'm so closely monitered through u/s. Thanks for the encouragement, i hope 3rd time's a charm! This has to mean something, 3rd iui, 3rd baby! Well, i can dream can't i? :) Grow, follies grow!!! :)
mommyin09- You are so sweet! Thank you for the photo comments! I can't tell you how much that means to me when i get a comment on my little girl saying how beautiful she is! :) I have so many more pics of her i could put on here, but i'd have to go to my parent's and use their scanner to do that. I will one of these days, and then you could really see how precious she is! :) Are you getting excited, wednesday is almost here! I feel like i've been waiting for wednesday for an eternity! :) I think by you using the opk's it will give you a good idea of when you will ovulate, since your not doing an hcg shot. Even though you are being monitered through u/s, it'll still be nice to see that smiley face and know exactly when you do ovulate. Because wednesday will probably just show that your follie(s) are ready, and you will ovulate soon. So the opk's will ease your mind!
Candie- You're crazy! We'd be lost without you! Don't you go anywhere, we'd miss you too much! We'll be there with you soon, and hopefully by the time we get there, you'll have gotten that BFP that you deserve! I'm so glad FF has finally recognized an O date for you! I will check out your chart when i'm done with this post! :)
Joyce- hang in there sweetie! 9dpo is too early to test. When i cave in and test, it's usually around 9dpo and i get a faint positive but it's always still from my hcg shot! So don't get discouraged, it's too early! Yes, i would think by 17dpo you would get a bright positive! I hope it happens for you! Your symptoms sound promising, but try not to focus on them. I've found my cycles are a lot less stressful if i don't look into them! I know it's hard though.
Have a great monday ladies! I will continue to enjoy my day off! ;)
i knew it was too early when i tested on 9dpo but i just felt i HAD to especially when i had a dream the night before that i took a test and it was BFP...lol
this is my first month ttc so i am not in the same league as some of you ladies with hcg shots and u/s and all of that stuff. i wish you all well, i am not sure how you keep your spirits high but i commend you on it.
i have been checking the boards but trying not to dwell on my symptoms much, unless i get a sharp twinge in the belly or something. i dont know... but i will inform everyone of everything going on
candie, mommyin09,luvkayln and everyone else.... you have been so supportive of me, and i have only been coming to the site for under a month....it seems like longer, i cherish you all and hope that if you havent already, you are blessed with a BFP soon and a very healthy uneventful 9 months to follow
That's a great lookin' chart! So 5dpo today, that's great! I really hope this is it for you! Wow, your cycle is flyin' by! I hope it soars right into a BFP!!!! I know it's early, but when do you plan on testing? Try to hold out until at least 10dpo, i think that's the earliest you can start testing anyways. If i were strong enough, i would'nt test at all and just see if af comes, but YEA RIGHT! I'm a poas'aholic!!! This time i will try to fight the urge and not test until 12dpiui b/c that is dh's birthday. If it's neg, then of course i won't ruin his birthday with that news, but would'nt it be great if it was positive, and i got to tell him on his birthday!!! Good luck to you sweetie!!
Thanks, i hope so too!!! Try to hold out, test day will be here before ya know it! :) June 8th, right? Less then a week! :) Hope af stays away, and you see that BFP at the end of the tunnel!!! :) Good luck sweetie!
thanks, i hope so too, it is just so hard to wait, and then i called my dr. and asked when fertility returns and when af should return after IUD removal...and she just said anywhere from 2-18 months... well that doesnt sound right... iam thinking of changing doctors cause she obviously doesnt know what she is talking about.... i have read on these forums of many many women getting pregnant the first month that they have the IUD out...and so unless the 2-18 is the larger % of women...that still seems like a large range. idk but i called my regular OB/GYN and they are suppose to get ahold of me in the next couple of days... i hope i am not brainwashing myself into THINKING i am pg...and then NOT be. oiy, anyhow...good luck to you and hopefully i can update with a BFP later in the week or early next week.
I am sorry I have been out of comission for a bit. You guys are very busy! It is good to hear such postive news. I am relatively new to this board, but find your support and the support you all give eachother awesome.
Well I got my af (period?) on Sat evening - so the Dr. says I am now on CD 2 ;-). That was the bad news, BUT the good news is that I ovulated on my first round of clomid (50mg), which the Dr. did not think I would - I loved being able to prove her wrong. Now going to start my next round of clomid (50 mg) on CD 3 (tomorrow). She is actually going to do the sonogram and all the fun stuff with this round.
I am NOW a bit behind you all ;-) Sending much luck, joy and momentum forward!
So sorry about af, BUT that's GREAT news that you ovulated! :) You sound very optimistic for this next cycle, all you can do is keep trying, right? :) So yes, now you are behind us, but please stay on our thread! You are still our cycle buddy!!! :) That's great that you get to start your clomid tomorrow! Will you do iui along with it, or just do timed bd? I do iui along with it, but it's only a little more of a success rate then just plain old bd'ing. But i've had 2 pregnancies to prove that just plain old bd'ing works!!! :) I'm glad you are focusing on this next cycle, and i hope it brings you a BFP!!
sorry to hear about af, but like luvkayln said...you sound very high spirited...hopefully now that you are ovulating you can time it just right and will have a BFP very soon now.
Luvkayln - Great to hear from you! Yes, I think because I am off the meds is why the follies aren't growing. We will see what happens. They called me and told me to come in on Thurs instead of Wed - I guess to give them another day to grow. I will definitely be back on the meds next cycle - I would have this cycle but with dh travelling and home renovations starting next week, it did not seem like the best time. So, I don't have high hopes for this cycle but am still trying! :) If my follicles do mature, I still have the option to take an hcg shot to make sure I ovulate. So we will see how the week progresses! This is an important week for you and you are in my thoughts!! I have a good feeling that this could be your bfp!
Welcome back Arlotheslug! Sorry about af showing but it's great to know that you ovulated on clomid! Yeah! Good luck this cycle!
That's good they changed it to thurs., that way your follies do have an extra day! I hope that u/s brings good news, but if not, then at least you know next month will work out with the meds! That's great that if your follies do mature that you can do the hcg shot. I def would do that, so it does ensure ovulation will happen. That's the only reason i take it. I love knowing when i'm going to ovulate! It makes me feel like i really know my body! :) Thank you so much for keeping me in your thoughts this week! I love all you ladies on here, the support is amazing! :) I'll be praying that your follies grow and grow! Good luck sweetie!!!
Stacey - I'm so sorry that your follies didn't grow, but I'm sure they'll be OK. It's still early. I can't wait to hear how your next ultrasound goes. Thanks so much for your words of encouragement. In a way, I guess it is good that I won't have to wait as long as I thought, but it bothers me that we didn't time our BD better. Oh well, what can you do.
Joyce - I think 17 dpo should be plenty long enough. I know what you mean, sometimes you feel like you have such a positive sign that you just have to test and see! I do think it was early though, so don't get discouraged. Thank you so much for your kind words and I'm really glad that I found such great friends too. Love the baby dust covered in honey. Hopefully that will do the trick!
luvkayln - I'm so jealous you have the day off today! Hope it's going well. Sounds like you've been busy. I was like that last weekend. I felt like I didn't sit down at all! Thanks for letting me stick around. :) I know, I can't believe I'm 5 dpo already, it kind of snuck up on me! I usually never make it more than 12 dpo, so if AF doesn't show by the 11th, I'll definitely test. I've always been so afraid of seeing that negative test, so I usually just watch my temps and wait for AF to show. I didn't realize you'd be finding out around your DH's birthday. Wouldn't that be the most awesome gift ever! Ooh, now I'm really pulling for you dear!
Arlotheslug - I'm sorry about AF, but that's great news that Clomid is working for you! That's so nice that your doctor is going to be doing the ultrasounds this time around. I had that done a few times and I thought it was so cool to be able to see the little eggs forming. I hope this is your cycle!
TONS OF EXTRA SUPER STICKY BABY DUST COVERED IN HONEY....for sticking real good and being extra sweet
and wouldnt it be very sweet if we all got bfp's if not this cycle within the next cycle or two? i know some of you dont want to hear "or two" cause you have been doing this for so long...bless your hearts.
hugs and luv to all of you and know you are always in my thoughts and prayers
Hi, ladies ! I'm gonna try my best to catch up :) I'm CD13 & negative opk today. It was expected, though. I usually get a + around CD16-17, so we'll see.
Luvkayln: Of course ! Your daughter is beautiful & thank you for sharing her photo with us :) I would love to see more when you have the time. It's funny 'cause I LOVE those days where dh & I are home cleaning, mowing the lawn, or doing some kind of project ! Call me crazy, but I am a total home-body :) (Although the hanging out by the "campfire" afterwards sounds like much more fun !) And I'm sure Kayln WAS right there with you :)
Yes, I'm getting excited for our u/s & you're right, it seems like we've been waiting for Wed. forever. I sure hope we both get good news ! And what a great b-day gift that would be for your dh. I will pray extra hard for you & I'm sending you some extra ssbd, too !!!
Joyce: Now that you mention your son going away & not wanting to find out beforehand, that makes perfect sense ! That is actually very smart :) I'm glad you have found the women on here to be so helpful! I feel the same way. You can be on here for just a day & you are already totally accepted.
Stacey1718: I don't know much about follies, but, hey, as long as they say it's "normal", I'd take that ! :) When do you go back? I will definitely post after my u/s on Wed.
Arlotheslug: Okay, now I think I understand :) I'm glad you can rest assured that you are O'ing! That is really great news & so you'll start clomid tomorrow, CD3?
Candie: I agree, your chart looks great ! I can't believe you're already 5DPO! Save us a spot in the tww thread. We'll be there before you know it !
stacey: you are very welcome... i figure aside from making everything sweet...the honey coated baby dust will make it stick good...lol
mommyin09: you are always so sweet to me.
i hope that all is well with everyone...just a lil FYI from thursday through sunday, i will be off and on very sporatically. thursday we are taking the kids to a place called Tahquamenon Falls here in the UP of Michigan for the day, and then friday we will be heading to detroit, and saturday we will be dropping my son off and heading back...and so i SHOULD be back almost constantly on sunday....i will make sure i let you know something
is there anyway of being 17dpo and actually being preg with a BFN??
so if i do not have af, and it is bfn, then first thing monday i will be calling to get a appt with doc. cause my ob/gyn told me that the IUD removal SHOULDNT affect my cycle...IF it was taken out DURING my mensus...and it was, soooo hopefully he is right and af stays away and i get a bfp
anyhow i have jabbered on wayyy too much
hugs and luv and.............
TONS of SSBD covered in HONEY.....make is sticky and sweet...lmao
luvkayln - I didn't realize you had a picture of your dear daughter until mommyin09 mentioned it. I took a look and she is so precious, No wonder you miss her so much. I know she is there with you in spirit everyday. I know I've said it before, but I have so much admiration for you and what you've been through.
mommyin09 - I know, I'm having trouble keeping up too! That's so funny that you call yourself a homebody because that's exactly what we are too. We love to just be at home doing things together. For my DH's birthday, I got him Rockband for Playstation 3 (it's like guitar hero, but you can play guitar, drums or even sing). We are totally addicted and sometimes my brother comes over and joins us and we just play for hours! Actually, we do everything together, even go grocery shopping. Going out for dinner or a movie is about as wild as we get!
Joyce - Don't you dare apologize for "jabbering on!" That's what we're here for. I still think you could be testing too early. It's hard to tell since your cycle is a little unpredictable. It would probably be a good idea to call your doctor if you get to a point where you're not sure what is happening. Sounds like you have a fun weekend with your family and hopefully that will allow you to relax and enjoy yourself.
OMG! We bought Rockband for my mother-in-law for Christmas ! She was so addicted to guitar hero, so we got her that so her dh wouldn't be so left out :) Whenever we go over there, we play way too long ! We want to get our own, but are doing so much work on our house, we only have a small space in the back. We call it our "bungalow". Anyway, once we're back in our home, we plan to get rockband & Wii. :-)
Good morning!!
Mommyin09 & candie- I could just hug you both right now!! Thank you so much, you both know exactly how to make me smile! :) You both are too funny! Rockband is a lot of fun! mommyin09- that's so cute you got it for your mother-in-law and she plays it religiously!! How adorable.... I'm getting so excited for tomorrow!! I can't wait to hear your results! Yesterday my ovaries were so sore, it was crazy!! They're working their little hearts out to make me plenty of eggs!!! Last month i had 2 on my right side, i'm hoping for 2 again, but i really want 3! And this time, hopefully there's at least 1 on each side. Can't wait till you get your + opk! Hopefully it will be close to friday when you do, b/c that's when i'll ovulate. We've been so close in our cycles, i hope the clomid keeps us close. Good luck tomorrow! We'll probably just miss each other, since my appt is at 8 and yours is at 10. I have a 30 min drive, well, maybe we won't. Anyway, here's hoping we both get great news!!!
Joyce- I saw on the 2ww thread you got a bfn today, don't get discouraged!! There's plenty of women who don't see that bfp until after af is due. Hopefully that iud won't affect your cycle, but if you get to 17dpo and no af or bfp, then i would go to the ob and find out what's going on. It sounds like you'll be having a fun-filled weekend! Hopefully that will keep your mind off testing! Try not to test again until you think af is due, seeing those bfn's are just a bummer! I know it's hard, but try to hold off...
stacey- how are you doing today? Staying positive, i hope! :) Here's hoping those follies grow and grow!! Thursday's just right around the corner, and i hope that u/s brings you good news! If it does show they've matured, are you going to take the hcg shot? I would, just to ensure they rupture.
arlotheslug- today you start your clomid, right? That's exciting! On to the next cycle, and i hope this one brings you your BFP!! I hope your u/s went well today. Stay in touch!!!
Ok, well i'll be back on here after my appt tomorrow morning to let you all know how it went! Hoping mommyin09 and i can bring good news to the thread!!!
Joyce - definitely do not get discouraged. It is early early! Wait a few days and try again. Do you have any symptoms?
Mommyin09 - Good luck with your u/s tomorrow! Please update us with the results!
Candie - hope you are relaxing in your 2ww?
Arlotheslug - Good luck with the clomid! Don't be surprised if you feel a little crampy - it's your ovaries growing those nice follies!
Luvkayln - Also good luck with your u/s tomorrow. I hope you have a whole bunch of eggs! I also wanted to let you know that I have looked at your dear Kayln several times. She really does look like a little angel. Just so sweet and beautiful. My heart just goes out to you and your dh and I know you will be blessed again very soon with a little one who will remain on earth with you. I will always think of her on my birthday - also Dec 17.
I am ok. Feeling a little frustrated with the shrinking follies!! (I guess that is why I am here in the first place right??) I was hoping we could at least try this cycle. I hope they started to grow this week. I will find out on Thurs and go from there. If they have continued to grow I will request an HCG shot. I'm definitely back on the meds next cycle!!
Good luck to you all! Sending baby dust with honey and chocolate syrup - in case the honey is not sticky enough!! :)
mommyin09 - I can't believe you guys play Rockband too. How cool is that! That's exciting that you are remodeling your house. When do you expect it to be done? Hopefully it's been going smoothly.
Arlotheslug - Another Rockband buddy! I know, we didn't know how much fun it would be but it's actually pretty awesome. I hope the clomid works for you this time.
Stacey - I am actually not doing too bad during this 2ww. I'm sure as I near the end, I'll get a little anxious, but I'm trying to just stay positive and focus on looking forward to our beach vacation in August. Only 2 months away! I'm sure your follies will be better by Thursday. With all of our good wishes for you, how could they not? :)
luvkayln and mommyin09 - I probably won't check in again until tomorrow, so wanted to wish you both lots of luck on your ultrasounds tomorrow. I can't wait to hear how they go.
stacey : sore bbs, nausea, headache, backache, always tired, always irritable, always hungry(lol). had some crampy feelings about a week ago but that is pretty much gone now(although some tight twingy feelings sometimes) it lasted almost the whole week.
hugs and luv....and TONS of super super duper sticky baby dust...covered in honey to stick really well...lmao

Hi. Looks like there are a lot of RockBand fans out there ! :-)
Candie: I guess I shouldn't call it a "remodel," as we demo'd our home & rebuilt from scratch ! We actually demo'd 3 years ago, but dh is doing all the work himself & only in his "free time". He is not a contractor by trade. Everything has gone very smoothly & we are still excited with every new completion. Our plan was to be done before baby is born, and it sure looks like we'll meet that goal ! :) From the outside, our home looks finished, complete with landscaping. On the inside, the kitchen is complete & now the master bath. Our next step is to do the master bedroom & then we can move on in :) It's all been very exciting & rewarding for dh, too.
Stacey: I will be sure to update tomorrow re: my u/s. Even though I have been told what to expect, I'm sure it will all be very interesting to me since I haven't done it before. Good luck to you, too, on Thurs. I sure hope those follies grow ! :)
Luvkayln: Well, negative opk today, too, so looks like we will O pretty close. My temps have been really low (lower than usual). I remember you saying my temps may be really high with clomid, but the last few days, super low ! I will check in after my appt. tomorrow & before I go to work. Best of luck to you !!!! :-)
Hi ladies! Just got home from work, and dh just pissed me off! What a great time for that, right?! We're supposed to bd tonight, so he can have a 2 day build up for friday's iui. This is where i can relieve my stress, seeing what's going on with all my cycle buddies!! :)
Stacey- Your so sweet!! Thank you for looking at her picture, i really appreciate you and everyone else that has taken the time to look at our baby girl! That's awesome that your birthday is also her birthday! Thank you for saying you'll always think of her, you're amazing! :) I know it's a bummer that your follies aren't cooperating, but hopefully thursday will show that they've grown and you can do your hcg shot. But if not, then at least you can give your body another month off to relax, and then next month you can get back on your meds and try again! Will you try something different next month, meds wise? I would hate for you to go through having to take another cycle off b/c of cysts again. Thanks for the well wishes at tomorrow's u/s. I will def keep you all posted when i get home!
mommyin09- maybe the clomid is just affecting you differently. I'm sure your temps being lower then usual is from the clomid. My temps are all over the place, and i know it's from the clomid. I should'nt even do bbt, b/c i know when i ovulate. I usually just start temping the week before af is due to see if they drop like they always do before af comes. But this month i just wanted to see if my temps matched what the u/s shows, ya know? Good luck with your u/s tomorrow! Finally, i can say... tomorrow!! :) It'll be an exciting day for you, since it's your first time going through anything like this. It's still exciting for me everytime though! :) I act like i've done this so long, and it's only my 3rd time! :) Can't wait to hear your results!!
joyce- Wow girl!! You have a lot of symptoms! Hopefully they are all leading right to a BFP!! It sure sounds promising! And don't stress over that bfn, it could just be taking longer for it to show up.
candie- thanks for the well wishes tomorrow for us! It sounds like you are doing real well in your 2ww! :) I'm always so positive for the first week or so after an iui, knowing it's going to work. Then the 2nd week comes, and the anxiety sets in and i start to doubt everything. And all i can think about is testing!! I'm trying to work on that! :) One of these days, we'll get to see that bfp instead of all those darn bfn's! I'm getting sick of seeing those!
Well ladies, i guess i better go talk to dh so we can have makeup sex! :) And ONLY b/c we have to, for the sake of making our baby! :) Doesn't it feel like a chore sometimes??? Have a good night ladies, and i'll be back in the morning when i get home!
thanks...i know that it can take longer, but i have NEVER had a problem getting a bfp around af....13dpo CD34 and still no sign of af...hopefully stays away. if i go by when i ovulated (May 22, i had the ewcm) i am due for af tomorrow. so i guess we will see. grrrr it is so frustrating though. but anyhow i have alot to do the next few days so hopefully it will go by quickly and i dont notice it much.
mommyin09 - Wow, I can't believe you totally demolished your house. I totally commend you and your DH for undertaking that big project on your own. Last month, we replaced the walls and floor in our kitchen and that was enough for us! That's exciting that your kitchen is done. Hopefully the work on your bedroom will go quickly.
luvkayln - So sorry to hear that you had a fight with DH. It's so frustrating when you have a plan and things get in the way. I hope you were able to make up. ;) I know sometimes it can totally feel like a chore. For the most part, we've usually done pretty well with the "schedule", but there are certainly those months when it was difficult. Especially when you feel like you keep doing everything you are supposed to and it's not working anyway. It has definitely been better now that I'm off the meds though. We still try to plan and time it right, but it feels like there's a lot less pressure.
Joyce - First of all, I have a dumb question - what does lmao mean? Sorry, I'm new to some of these abbreviations. How are you today? It sounds like your symptoms are promising. I really hope you have good news soon.
mommyin09 and luvkayln - Can't wait for those ultrasound results!
Luvkayln: I sure hope you and dh made up ! :) I know what you mean, though. Last night we were supposed to bd & we both fell asleep !!! I know... I figure it's okay, though. I haven't gotten a +opk yet. I expect I'll get it today, so we're still in this :) Can't wait to hear about your appt.!!!
Candie: Correct me if I'm wrong, Joyce :), but I think lmao means laughing my *** off :) I think it's easier to do work on your house when you're not actually living in it ! We have a little "bungalow" in our backyard that we've been staying in, so we can escpae the madness. We're nearly done. We're looking at wood floors for the bedrooms now. it's been a really positive adventure.
Good morning girls!!! I just got back from my appt, and everything was perfect! I had 3 mature follies on my right side 19, 18 & 12. ( The 12mm one won't ovulate i'm sure. Probably just the other 2 will. We'll see though) My lining was great, follicles were beautiful, it's a good day! :) So i will give my shot tonight at 10 and we have our iui scheduled for friday at 10:30. Then i will be in the 2ww, and i can't wait to do more waiting! And BTW, dh and i made up last night. :) He made me all emotional b/c we both couldn't fall asleep last night, and he was really upset about kayln. So he went into her room and got her blankets that the dr wrapped her up in after she was born, and cuddled with them all night! My heart just melted when i woke up and saw those blankets on his side of the bed! He rarely shows the emotional side of himself, but when it comes to kayln, it's completely different. He just kept saying he missed his baby girl, and we cried together until we fell asleep. I know this father's day will be hard for him, so i hope i can bring good news a few days after father's day. It's in God's hands, when we're meant to concieve (conceive) again, we will. All you can do is trust that God will take care of you, and He will. Can't wait to hear how your appt goes today mommyin09!! Good luck! How's all my girls doing???
mommyin09: yes lmao IS laugh my (another 3 letter word for butt starting with A ending with S)off
i know 4 days and if i am right on my cycle length (at least this cycle) if af shows it would be tomorrow. but i dont have any brown sludge or any of the before af signs, aside from the sore bbs and crampy feeling that like i have said before i have NEVER had before af before.
anyhow, i will keep ya posted.
i would hate to have to be working on a house right now, just keeping this one clean is a hassle....lol...but it gotta get done.
luvkayln: i pray for you everyday(as i do with all of the ttcers) that you are able to give dh a WONDERFUL father's day.
mommyin09 & joyce- Thanks girls!!! You are too sweet! :)
stacey- good luck tomorrow!! I can't wait to hear how your u/s goes!! I have faith in those follies of yours! :)
mommyin09- I'll be looking for your post on how your u/s went today before i have to leave for work. I hope it shows more then 1 follie in there!! What time will you take an opk today? I know you said you take them in the afternoon, hopefully it will turn + today, then we'll O on the same day! :)
Joyce- I hope af stays away!!! That's good your not having any signs of her coming yet! Hopefully you don't at all.
Candie- How are you doing today? Just hangin' out in your 2ww... can't wait to join ya!!! Soon, very soon! :)
Hello. I'm about to sign off, but thanks for being excited for me ! :) I hope all goes well today & I will let you know after my appt. Come one, follies !!! Yes, I test around 5:30 pacific time. I'll have to buy more tests on my way home ! Have a great day !
Call me crazy, but I LOVE cleaning my house !!! I know... I'm a neat freak (or just a freak!?) Whatever :)
Keep busy & stay positive ! Lots of SSBD to you !!!
mommyin09- ok, so i guess you are an hour behind me? No wonder! I'm sitting here thinking, omg, she's late for her appt! :) Silly me! I'm looking forward to your results!! Follies, show your pretty faces! :)
luvkayln - I am so happy to hear that your ultrasound went so well. You must be so excited. Sounds like everything is right on track for your IUI. My heart breaks for your DH, for both of you really. We always look to our guys to be the strong ones, and they try to be, but it's so upsetting when you realize how much it affects them too. I will definitely be praying that he gets good news for Father's Day. I know what you mean about the time difference. I'm on the east coast, so I'm way ahead of everyone!
i am trying to stay positive but at times it gets very difficult as you ladies all know. we went to town and got all the kids swimsuits, we are going to the Detroit Metropolitan Hotel friday night...very posh. and they have a pool...whoo hoo
thanks for the kind words....and i hope all goes well with appts, and such
candie- Thank you so much! I know one of these tries will be it, for all of us. It's so funny b/c i always assume everyone is at the same time as me. I forget that different areas are on different time schedules. :)
mommyin09- I'll be back on here tonight when i get home from work to get your update! I'm so excited, probably more excited for you then i am for myself! :) I hope everything goes well! Ok, i'm off to work. :( Gotta make that $ to pay for all these fertility treatments.... :) SSBD to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, ladies :) My appt. went well. My doc says I'm responding well to the clomid. I only saw one follie & it was 18mm. It was pretty cool to see & you could see the blood supply for it, as well. Pretty interesting ! Although I expected to see more, I'm not disappointed 'cause I really only need one; right !? Who knows if I was even producing eggs or anything mature without the clomid?? I'll never know :) To top it off, I came home and tested early & got a +opk! So, luvkalyn, looks like we are on the same schedule afterall ! :-) It's funny 'cause I texted dh after my appt. & said I had one 18-inch egg ! He quickly texted back, how can you have an egg the size of a basketball?! (oops !) Yeah, the time difference can be confusing sometimes. I am actually two hours behind you, luvkayln.
Okay, I'm off to work ! Talk to you ladies later :)
Mommyin09 - that made me giggle - 18 INCH follie! WOW!! Congrats! And you do only need one but there might be a few more. Best of luck!! We are having our bathroom renovated starting next week and I am pretty nervous. It is a big job because they are expanding it and totally remodeling it. I can't imagine what you have been going through! I hope it only takes 2 weeks for us but I know how these things can go.
Luvkayln - woo hoo! 3 nice ones. Good for you! You are having a great cycle. Everything seems perfect. I so want you to have a bfp for you and your dh. That was such a sad story but you are in this together and you will succeed. Question: Why do we tend to get in fights with dh right around the time we are supposed to bd?? Is it just for the make up sex?? :) That happens to us too. To answer your earlier question yes I will be on meds next cycle and they will be adjusted to hopefully avoid the dreaded cysts. I'm just hoping that if this cycle is a dud that I am just more ready for next cycle.
Joyce - I am getting impatient! I can't imagine how you must feel. Only a few days and I hope af stays away. Imagine if you got your bfp on your first cycle??
Candie - keep thinking about your beach vacation! Happy and relaxing thoughts are great for the 2ww. All the best!!
I am back to the clinic tomorrow to see what these follies are up to. I hope they have grown. The weird thing is that I have had some cramping and even had a bit of spotting this morning...what the?? This cycle is very very strange. I wonder if I have some sort of hang over from the cysts last cycle. I even had terrible heart burn last night which I rarely ever get. Not sure if I ate too much too late :) or if there is some hormonal stuff going on? Weird huh? I'll see what shows up tomorrow and will let you ladies know.
Thanks :) What did you mean? Could there be more in there that we couldn't see??? Yes, our house has been a lot of work, but it's been good. I figure our future begins with our home & our kids, so it's well worth the wait! We'll have a lifetime to enjoy it :) Your remodel sounds exciting! (I hate to tell you, but two weeks usually doesn't mean two weeks.) I told my co-workers that my "remodel" would only take 6 months... and I actually believed that ! That's probably why they stopped asking if we're done yet!
Well, good luck to you tomorrow ! I hope your follies have grown nice & big ! :)
Yes, I will focus on the big one ! :-) My doc mentioned how big it was & that it was such a perfect circle! I didn't know if that was good or just odd...
Re: the reno, just stay positive & "see the big picture"! You'll be fine :)
mommyin09- Hey! Glad to hear your appt went well!! I only produced 1 follie on 50 mg as well. The good thing about clomid is it improves the quality of the egg, so that's good yours was nice and round! :) Maybe if you don't get pregnant this cycle, they can bump you up to 100 mg ( if you want more then 1 egg, that is.) Yay!! So glad to hear you got a + opk today! That's cool how close we are in our cycles!! So, we'll ovulate on friday, and af is due for me on the 21st. ( I have a 15 day LP b/c of the progesterone suppositories i take 2 days after my iui).
mommyin09 - Yippee! One big follie! Like you said, that's all you need. That's so exciting that you got a + OPK too. Now it's all coming full circle. We'll forgive you if you're too busy to check for a few days ;)
luvkayln - When are you planning to do your trigger shot? Was that today? If so, good luck with that. You must be so excited for your IUI tomorrow. That's so cool that you and mommyin09 are now truly cycle buddies! Let's pray you get your BFP's together too!
Stacey - That is strange that you've had some spotting, but I'm sure it will be OK. I don't know too much about cysts, but I'm sure they can cause some irregularities. I'll be thinking about you today and praying that your ultrasound goes well.
Joyce - How are you? Your little hotel outing with your kids sounds like so much fun. We love staying in hotels! Hope you have a great weekend with your family.
As for me, still just hanging out. Tick tock tick tock. I've been feeling a little tired, but I think that's only because we haven't been getting enough sleep lately. Staying up late to watch our Penguins in the Stanley Cup, only to have them lose last night :( Oh well. Otherwise, my temps have been staying pretty high, so that's a good thing.
Hey, there you are ! :) My doc mentioned she wouldn't have to up the dosage 'cause I was responding well to th 50 mg. I didn't realize you take prog. I do, too. I take it after O-AF, so my lp has increased to around 13-14 days. Your shot went okay? And your iui is tomorrow? So, I will see you in the tww ! :-)
Candie: Hi. Thanks ! :) I'm excited about my one follie ! It was exciting to actually see it & to know it's just about to drop... it's all really cool to me :) Sorry about your Penguins ! What a bummer, huh?! Our Lakers start tonight, but really I'm more interested than dh is. We probably won't even watch ! I think especially the playoffs are just so exciting ! Yes, luvkayln & I will join you in the tww very soon. How are you doing? Here's hoping you pave the way for a long string of BFPs !!! :-)
Stacey: Good luck to you today ! I hope your u/s goes well. Maybe they can explain why you were spotting & alleviate any concerns you have. I'll check in later (of course) to see how it went. Have a great day ! :-)
I think all of your wishes and prayers worked ladies!
I had my u/s this morning and had some good news! One follie has taken the lead and was 14mm. Woo hoo! So this will not be another waste of a cycle. Mid cycle spotting can be brought on by hormone changes so I guess that one follie kicked into gear. So, the plan is to go back Saturday. They want the follie to reach 20 before I take the HCG shot - which will ensure that the egg is released. If it is not 20 by Sat then it should be by Sunday. So I should take the shot this weekend at some point, have some bd time with dh (he will be home by then!) and I will finally be in the 2ww early next week.
So it won't be such a natural cycle anymore since I'll take the shot. But I am so ok with that!
Have a great day....take care of your follies and hoping we all get some BFPS!!
Stacy- Yay!!! I knew everything would work out! It was fate that it would be ready exactly when dh would be home!!! :) That's awesome! We're so happy for you! So i guess you'll just be a few days behind mommyin09 & i, which is great!!!!! I'm glad to hear you are doing the hcg shot. It may not seem like an all natural cycle b/c you are taking that, but at least it ensures that you WILL ovulate, ya know? Hopefully you won't need a medicated cycle next month, this could be the month!!! :) Everything worked out so perfect, a perfect ending to a perfect cycle would be that BFP and i hope you get it!!!! :)
candie- I did my trigger shot last night at 10. I hate getting it, but i love that i know when i will ovulate. Yes, i am SOOO excited for my iui tomorrow. It seems like this week was taking forever to get here. Isn't that so funny that mommyin09 & i are THAT close in our cycles? That would be so cool if we found out we were pregnant together, then we'd be preggo buddies! :) That's good your temps are staying high! Hopefully they'll stay high for 18+ days after O! They say anything over 18 days of high temps after O is a pretty much gaurenteed BFP. I hope that's the case for you! :)
mommyin09- that's good your doc said you were responding well to the clomid. I responded well to 50mg too, but i wanted multiple eggies!! :) Twins would be awesome! More risk, i know, and lord knows i don't need any MORE risk during pregnancy! But i know He will take care of me! So, since you got your + opk yesterday, does that mean you will ovulate today or tomorrow? They say once you get a + it's like 12-48 hours later, right? And the norm being 36, someone correct me if i'm wrong. So i guess if it's 36 hours later, you would ovulate early friday morning, right? I will ovulate around 10 am on friday. So i guess we will both be 1dpo on saturday. That's good you take progesterone as well. I meant to ask you if you did. So you have a 13-14 day LP, so you should start around the 19th or 20th. Af is due for me on the 21st, hopefully we'll be able to give good news together!!! :)
Joyce- hope you are enjoying your vaca!!! I hope you aren't thinking too much about testing, hopefully this will get your mind off of it and you can relax a while... and then when you come home, you'll get a BFsuprise!!!!!
Thanks ladies! Yes, I will be just a couple of days behind you. Dh is in store for a great weekend and he doesn't even know it yet ;)
Luvkayln - good luck with your IUI tomorrow! I'm excited for you. Hopefully you can relax for the rest of the day and the weekend? Make sure you do. When I started this process I really was paranoid about twins. My attitude is totally different now. If I was expecting twins I would be very happy! (aside form all of the addtional risks of course)
Mommyin09 - I guess you will O soon!?! Do you go back in for another u/s next week? btw - My dh and I always watch the NBA playoffs - we have for years! Lakers made a nice come back this year! I think they have a good chance at beating Boston.
Candie - sorry about the Penguins. I guess you are now in the last week of your 2ww? Hope those temps stay high and rise!
Take care of yourselves...happy, positive, bfp thoughts!
Stacey
Stacey - I am so happy that your ultrasound went a lot better today. See, I told you those follies were just holding out for your DH! :) That's just so wonderful that everything has worked out so perfectly for you. It will be nice to get that shot too and know exactly when to expect to O. Thanks for your condolences on the Penguins. At least they gave it a good try. Now we'll just focus on football season - that's our first love anyway! Yes, I am nearing the end of my 2ww. I'm 8 dpo today and usually don't make it past 11 or 12 dpo, so I should definitely know by early next week. Thanks for the good wishes!
mommyin09 - I agree. I thought the ultrasound was really cool too. I've never really gotten into basketball, but I hope your Lakers go all the way! I have to admit, I'd really love to lead the way for BFP's for everyone, but I'm just hoping that we at least have some success stories. You are all so wonderful and so deserving.
luvkayln - You are too sweet. Thank you. That's great that you already have your shot done and overwith. I hope everything goes well at your IUI tomorrow. I think it's really cool that you and mommyin09 are on the same schedule and I truly hope you both end up with BFP's together!
Stacey: That's great. dh will think you REALLY missed him ! :-) That's cool that you'll be right behind luvkayln & I. I hadn't realized that ! Since you're such a fan, you'll have to tell me how the Lakers do ! j/k, but I'm sure we won't even watch.
Candie: Do you use progesterone? If you make it through the weekend, that will be 11dpo, so baby steps... I'll definitely be pulling for ya ! You are just as wonderful & just as deserving as the rest of the ttc'ers ! :)
Luvkayln: Hey, buddy ! :) So, if you responded well to 50mg, was it your choice to up the dosage? If I don't get pregnant this cycle (fingers crossed that I do!), then I would like to up my dosage, too. I would love the chance for multiples. I didn't have any side effects from the 50mg, aside from being tired & I felt my ovaries working, like I feel now - around the time I O, but that's it. I don't want to jinx it 'cause I hope it works this time, but if not, maybe I need another boost :)
Stacey & Luvkayln: I was thinking I'd O tomorrow after getting a +opk yesterday, but I guess it could be today. I'm gonna test opk again in a little bit. My temp today was exactly the same as yesterday's. If it goes down tomorrow, most likely I'll O tomorrow; but if it jumps up tomorrow, then I could be O'ing today. It's funny that I won't know for sure until it's too late ! That's the good thing about you guys doing the shot ! :) My opk box says that you should get your lh surge approx 24-36 hours before the release of an egg, which would be today for me; right?! I'm sure we'll be talking soon & I will let you know ! :)
Candie - How exciting! You are almost at the end of 2ww and hopefully the beginning of something wonderful. I would love you to lead our bfp parade!! I'll be thinking of you and sending bfp vibes your way! I think you are right about my follie - it was just being cool until it knew the dh was coming home :)
Mommyin09 - I think you are right - you could ovulate at any time. You may actually feel it - a slight sharp pain on the side of your basketball follie. Just take it easy and have lots of quality time with dh :)
Luvkayln - Good luck with your iui! You have been having a great cycle and everything is perfect and ready.
I'll be a few days behind you ladies but if you want to transfer over to the 2ww thread no worries. I can catch up with you there. Then you don't have to update twice - just let me know so I am not writing messages to myself! :)
This is so much more fun to go through with friends. Thanks for all of your wishes and support.
You made me laugh out loud talking about my baskeball follie !!! Too funny :) Don't worry, we won't leave you behind. It definitely is much more fun to go through with friends :)
Take care !
i did a test this morning 15dpo and CD36 still no af and still a bfn....used last test in house so will have to wait until sunday to test again. hopefully late implantation or something. if no af and still bfn on sunday i will be calling doc on monday to get a beta done. and if i am not preg, see what the heck is going on...lol
ssbd, and i will be back either tomorrow evening or sunday morning
hugs and luv to all
mommyin09 - Love your new profile picture! Thank you so much for the kind words. I don't take progesterone, although sometimes I wonder if that isn't part of the problem. I've never had it checked during a natural cycle, but I actually talked to a nurse the other week and she sent me an order to have it done. I wanted to do it this time, but when O sorta snuck up on me and I never really had a + OPK to confirm it, I decided to wait. I want everything to line up first so that I know I'm picking the right day to have my blood drawn. As far as your O, I think it could definitely happen today. It's good that your taking your temperature to confirm it.
Stacey - Thanks for the good vibes. I'll take all the help I can get! :) Hope that follie of yours keeps growing. Did you give DH the good news yet? He better be resting up for the weekend!
Joyce - Sorry you are still in limbo. I'm not sure what's going on and I guess your body could still be adjusting, but let's all pray that it becomes a BFP! Enjoy your weekend.
I know Stacey was wondering about the 2ww thread, and I do check in there from time to time, but I think it would be great if we kept our little group together here too. I love talking with you all.
Joyce: Even though you got a bfn, AF isn't here, so there's still hope ! I'm sure you're having a great time with your family !!! Take care & we'll see you back here soon :)
Candie: Thanks ! :) The picture is our first butterfly to visit our garden once we completed our landscaping ! I'm testing my prog. again on CD21, which is next Thurs. Did your doc give you a cd to test? My temp did drop today, so I'm guessing I'll O today, but I also got another +opk this a.m. too, so only time will tell ! :) I agree with you. I want to be in the tww thread, but I also want to keep our group together. Maybe since luvkayln started this thread, she'll start another one for us when this one gets too long (hint, hint!) :-)
Oh good! I agree with you guys. I really like this thread too :)
Luvkayln - I think we are thinking of you! Look forward to your update and hope all goes well!
Joyce - Hang in there. Your body could still be adjusting but I also know several people who did not get a bfp until a couple of days after af was due. There is still tons of hope for you.
Mommyin09 - hee hee...it is funny about the basketball follie :) When I was having my ultrasound done yesterday, I was really trying to see if it was nice and round. It seemed to be :) What a beautiful picture of the butterfly! I thought it was a stock photo of some sort. Wow. It looks like you will probably start your 2ww tomorrow if you O today (which you most likely will)!
Candie - Only a couple of days left for you right!? Do you plan to test or wait it out? I have given dh the heads up that i will be requiring his services over the next few days :) We have a function to go to on Saturday with all of his old school buddies but I told him I will be driving and that we will be coming home early. No late nights out this weekend. :)
Have a great Friday! Summer has finally arrived in Toronto - hot, humid and sticky today. I love it.
Hey girls!! So sorry to keep you all in suspense on how my iui went this morning, i've been trying to relax b/c i have to leave for work in an hour! :( Usually i get the night off the day of my iui ( my mother in law is my boss, which is great, b/c she knows what's going on! :) but the weekends are so busy at the winery, so i have to just relax as much as possible tonight... Well, my iui went wonderful!! We had 39 million sperm after the wash, which is awesome! My RE says our risk for twins this month is 12%, since his sperm count was up from 14 million last month and we have multiple eggs!! So, hopefully it will take this time! I don't think we should switch to the 2ww thread, i love being on this one with all of you! I agree stacey, it's so nice to be able to be in the wait with close friends. I bet dh will enjoy all the extra love this weekend! :)mommyin09- you are so funny!! I'll start a new thread if you want me to! :) This one is growing kinda long!!! :) That's good your temp dropped this morning, that's a good sign that you're going to ovulate today. My temp dropped this morning too! :) Candie- Geez... you are getting so close to the end! I bet you are sooo anxious!! So, since af is due in a few days, when do you plan to test? That's so exciting, i hope it's poosssiiitttiiivvvee!!!!! :) Thanks so much for thinking of me all morning, and thanks to all of you for wishing me good luck with my iui. I really feel good about this cycle! Hopefully i'll still feel that way when i get closer to the end of my 2ww!! Joyce- stay positive sweetie! I'll check in later tonight when i get off work, if i'm not too tired! RE instructed us to bd tonight and tomorrow, and then start my progesterone on sunday. mommyin09- i guess we're officially in our 2ww! :) Can't wait for you to join us stacey!!!!
mommyin09 - That is so cool that the butterfuly was in your backyard. When we went on our honeymoon to Niagara Falls we went to their butterfly conservatory and that was one of the coolest places I've ever seen. It sounds like you're on your way to O'ing. Congrats! The nurse told me I should go for my progesterone at 7dpo (which would be cd21 if you didn't O until the average cd14 but we all know that I was way ahead of that this month!).
stacey - summer has arrived here too, it's going to be around 90 the next few days. I usually try to just hold out and watch my temps and wait for AF, but if I get to the middle of next week, I'll definitely be testing. That's so funny that you've appointed yourself designated driver tomorrow! Have a good weekend!
luvkayln - Wow! It sounds like your IUI went perfectly. I'm so happy for you! That was quite an increase for your DH. He was probably so proud. :) Your chances are looking pretty awesome! That's so cool that you work in a winery. What exactly do you do there? I'm actually an auditor for a hospital, which sounds quite boring in comparison, but I like it.
Well ladies, I probably won't make it back on until tomorrow, or Sunday at the latest. Take care everyone, and enjoy!
