Chance's of multiples??

Chance's of multiples??

So I am getting very excited because we go to the fertility clinic at the end of Jan..and I wanted to know if anyone has; or anyone knows of someone who has had multiples..from an IUI with the fertility issue being a low count.  I really think twins would be awesome, I know I am wishful thinking but I am just curious!! Thanks ladies!!

That's true. It depends on the treatment and your response. I've heard 5-10 percent  higher chance of multiples with clomid (but I'm sure this varies from clinic to clinic), and a 20-40 percent increase for IVF, depening on how many ebryos are transferred.

Well, the chance of multiples are definitely higher when on fertility drugs, since you often develop more than one egg. I would say most still only get pregnant with one, but twins is not too far after. Best of luck with everything!

I know when I took clomid the Dr told me it only increases my chances of twins by 2%.  that isn't that much.

Thanks ladies, as far as I know so far I have no issues...although this is CD 55 with a BFN...lol but I really think it is from stress &  because of the fertile aid for women I ma taking, I plan to stop taking it as soon as I am done this bottle, my periods were 30-35 days after I got of BC, and then 2-3 months after taking fertile aid I am super late..so I think the fertile aid may have worked if my cycles were messed up, but since they were fairly normal it messed it all up!!  So far it look like we just have male factor infertility, but we will know more when we go to see the specialist.  I have not taken clomid, but the urologist has prescribed it to my hubby.  So I hope it helps things.  I am hoping I will get on clomid too, to help with better timing of ovulation but we will see what the doc wants.  Thanks again ladies for taking time to respond I truly appreciate it!!
