Chances with clomid?

Chances with clomid?

Hi y'all, I'm new to this forum and am looking forward to sharing my experiences with everyone.  I'm 34 turning 35 in a couple of weeks. I have never been on birth control ever.  I had 2 pregnancies but I was very young and had an abortion.  Looking back and now dealing with not having any luck getting pregnant, I am ashamed.  I have had 2 HSG's, blood work up, etc. My dr said that I wasn't ovulating even though I have a regular 27 day cycle, 4 days EVERY month like clock work.  Also he said that my uterus is crooked which ,akes it harder to get pregnant. Last week I was in the ER for lower abdominal pain.  I had a positive home preg test but dr said I wasn't pregnant.  He said I had a bacterial infection and to be safe is treating me for PID also. I am on day 3 of my cycle and starting clomid this week for the first time. I am very anxious and scared.  We desperately want a child and I know my age will soon start to be a factor.  I am currently on doxycycline and metronidazole for the infection. Will this have an impact on my clomid this cycle? I hope this work for me. I hear and read a lot about succes stories with clomid, but I feel I will be the exception and it won't work. I am very nervous.  Any suggestions? Thank you all for listening!

Hello,
Although there are no reported interactions between clomid and doxycycline/metronidazole, yet if you are getting a positive urine for pregnancy test then you should get a serum HCG test done for confirmation. It is more specific than a urine test.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
