as Day 1 of my cycle, or should I count the next day when I had the D&C since the tissue that would have been my baby did not come out until the D&C. I dont know yet if Im tracking to get pregnant or not get pregnant, but I want to start keeping track anyway.
Thanks, I found a good website about fertility by googling, but they didnt touch on this subject of counting after miscarriage
is not day 1. Your cycle will start when the HCG get's out of your system. You are suppose to ovulate two weeks after HCG is 0. But of course, you really can't tell when day 1. Just try to figure out Day 14 - when you ovulate.
Start using OPK's to figure out when you'll ovulate, then after positive surge, your menses
in 6 to 8 weeks ( I think that's the standard physician lingo). I miscarried 12/18/06 (day tissue passed) and got my menses 2/6/07. It takes a while for your hormones to get back to normal.
If you take a HPT test and it's negative you can tell if most of the HCG is gone from your body. There are so many factors going on with this, though.
What the last poster said makes sense. My dr. is a bit of a cookoo and she said you count d&c as day one of your cycle. Which basically would mean you would be fertile 2 weeks from d&c. Thats what I was told and Ive had 3 d&c's. Im not saying that its correct but I think the other posters advice makes more sense. Good luck.
Hi Jennifer, I posted on the other forum, too. Fertilityfriend.com says to count d&c as day 1, I track bbt there. I had d&c on 1/4 and did hpts 1-2x wk until neg, to be sure, got neg hpt on 17th. I o'd according to opks on or close to the 19th. I was pleased that everything went back to normal so quickly. I imagine that doesn't hold true for everyone, though. If you keep your charts on fertiliyfriend, they adjust them according to the info given, such as mc, meds, etc. You can also look at other charts by info you select. I really like it.
