I just recently went to a Perinatal Dr in reference to my blood mutations/miscarriages. She is requesting we have blood tests for Chromosome testing. Has anyone ever had this done? How does it work? I can't find anything online about it.
translocation. I'm not sure if that is the same thing as your doctor is suggesting for you. It was just a regular blood draw and my husband did one too. They checked all of our chromosomes to make sure they were shaped normally. Some people have chromosomal mutations that do not affect their own growth and development throughout life but it does affect the ability of their egg or sperm cells to produce a viable baby. It can be one cause of recurrent

..she also had 2 genes of the mther factor...it cleared that question for them..the chromosomes were shaped normally...sounds like you are covering all bases..good luck..!
My husband and I had it done after our 3rd m/c. For him they didn't take too much blood but I had about 12 or 13 vials. I was also checked at the same time for any blood clotting disorders
so that may have been why there was so much blood taken. The results took about 2 weeks to come back and for us it offered no answers to why we were miscarring all of the time.
Good luck and I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Haven't been on much due to working so much lately.
I went to perintolgist (perinatal) who ordered this test. We just both had it done this week....wondering what the results will be. Also was tested for Fragile X.
