Clomid

I am 31 yo  and my husband is 32 yo.  I have had regular periods since beginning menstruation at 12 yo.  Last year, I stopped taking BCPs to begin trying to conceive.  Since stopping the pill, I only had 2 periods.  I am currently seeing a REI specialist.  I took one cycle of Clomid at 50 mg, with ovulation (confirmed by pelvic U/S), and no pregnancy.  I just completed my second cycle of Clomid at 50 mg with no ovulation. The doctor recommended that I try my third cycle of CLomid at 100 mg.
My question is:  Is it common to ovulate on the first cycle of Clomid, and not on the second, even if at the same dose that worked initially?   And does no ovulation the second round, indicate that my body will no longer respond to Clomid?

I ovulated on both with Clomid. I think it depends on your body. Every woman will respond differently. Second round of it worked for me with the ovidrel trigger. My  body is crazy because I have a blocked tube so they have to get me to ovulate on my right side. I didn't on the first time, but second time i did. Good luck!

I also have the same problem. Im 28 and my husband is 32.  I was on 50 MG last month with clomid with 1 mature follicle we tried IUI but ended up with a bfn. Then i took 50 MG of clomid this month with no ovulation. So my dr is now putting me on 100 MG of clomid and hopefully my body will respond better. best of luck to you !!!

Hey I am in the same situation.I took 2 rounds of Clomid in Feb and March.  50 mg then 100 mg.  I did not ovulate on either.  i took a coupld of months off, and had to start over at 50.  I did ovulate on 50 mg this month.  Our bodies are just crazy.  They do what they want when they want to.  I have had 1 period on my own, no meds, since last August.  Before then I was like clock work, except when I was prego with my daughter.  Good luck to you girl!
