Hi, My Husband and I have been trying to have a baby (TTC) for over 5 years. Im just after finishing my 3rd cycle of clomid to no success. I think we may be trying at the wrong time. I thought we had to be actively trying in around day 21. I have a 30-31 day cycle so when would be the best days for us to be active? Im finding the whole process is starting to take a toll on me. I really want this to work and will do or try just about anything. Can you please give me any advise no matter how small. I have pcos and my husbands sperm count is normal. I really appreciate any help. You can email me if you like at nikki.***@****
Day 21 may be too late. Are you using OPKs? They're great at letting you know when you're ovulating. My cycle is between 31-35 days usually and when I took Clomid I ovulated on CD 17. I think you may be missing your window by waiting until CD 21.
*** I got a positive OPK on CD 17, so I ovulated within 36 hours of that positive result. I was lucky and it only took one month of Clomid for me. I hope you get your BFP soon. Good luck!
hi there! is there any method of detecting the ovulation period?
usually if you have a 14 day Luteal Phase, you would be ovulating 14 days before you start your period..the LP might vary for different women..mine is 16 days for example..
you should be able to use OPKs or BBT charts for pin pointing your fertile days..
I agree I think you are waiting too late and missing your most fertile time. I took clomid multiple times and always ovulated on cd 16 or 17. My doctor insisted I use OPKs while on Clomid as well as chart my BBT. Good Luck!
Thanks to all of you that replied to me. I honestly felt like I was missing my peak time. I found it quite confusing to be honest and my Temp kit is still in the early stages but I am going to invest in a OPK. Thanks again for all your help and I will let you all know how it goes. XOX
