Congrats on being 5weeks!! that's so exciting. I agree ....most research shows that an iui has between 20-26% rate of success if on clomid. I pray that I fall in that category, but a little doubtful.

Hi i had 3 iui's all using clomid only all failed to work it just depends on your Doctor and what he feels is best for you. Resently had ivf and im currently 5 weeks pregnant so what right for one isnt always right for the other. A lot of the time its guess work. I got funding for my infertility 3 iui and 1 ivf  cycle they said to me the iui gets you prepared for the ivf so i toke it as that iui success rate is poor and was wanting to get to the time when i could start ivf.

I was on a combination of Clomid and injectables (Clomid for 5 days, and then four injections every other day). I have my IUI tomorrow so I don't know if it worked yet. This is my first IUI, and I was on Clomid only before and did not ovulate at all...

i did clomid only twice. both worked (although i mc'd). clomid is cheaper and i can start at home without an appt. now i am on injectables and they scan me and do blood first before i can start. and they check you every 2-3 days since they are stonger you run a chance of overstimulation. good luck.

I did clomid only for both of our IUI's but neither one was successful. We had a very slim chance of it working though. I have heard that they like to start you out on the lowest amount of drugs and as you progress through cycles they change and increase to see what works. Good luck to you. Keep positive!!!
