I am getting ready to start my first round of clomid and I have a question....
My doctor told me to take the clomid on the first day of my period. I have never heard of this and in all my research I have not found anything either. He said that the only reason to take it on the first day of my period is because you only want to make sure you are not pregnant, but otherwise it really does not matter when you take it. Any ideas?
Can you ovulate before you've had your period? Or are you just meaning you could take the clomid mid-cycle, between periods? Other than that I don't really know much about taking it while you're not on your period.
I have never heard of anyone taking it so early, although when I was taking clomid my gyn had me take it on days 2-6. She said the earlier you take it the less it interferes with your CM. From memory
Most people start clomid between cd3 and 5. Never heard of anyone starting on cd1. And it does matter when you take it since clomid supposed to help you ovulate so you should take it before you O.
Well I'm not sure about that my OB GYN said to start mine on day 5 all the others that I had talked to said the same. I guess every one is different but as for side effects some say cranky nervousness and being extremely horny. but good luck I'm on month # 2 not pregos yet still trying
I have never heard of starting day 1. I started my first round of clomid on saturday which was day 3 for me. My doc said to take it days 3-7. Good luck to you!!
