Clomid Side Effects

has anyone who has been on clomid ever have cramps in the second half of your cycle?  i've read it can be a side effect, but i haven't been able to find out any information on this.

if so, what did the cramps feel like? like af cramps?  how long did they last?  what causes it?

answers to any of the question would be appreciated!

I have had sporadic cramping since starting Clomid and its been a few weeks I called doc & he said its normal. Im just waiting to see if it works this was my first cycle of Clomid so Im learning as well. Hopefully it quits soon. Sometime intercourse does make insides sore since the cramping has been going on. Now its a wait & see game for me!!

thanks.

well i had pain near my right ovary near when i think i o'd (although i am not even entirely sure that i did).  it was so noticeable that when dh and i bd it was pretty painful.

but about 3-4 days after that, i started to get very mild af like cramps, which have lasted about a week and a half, and seem to come and go.  just wondering if that could be a side effect?

it may be just a side effect...................everyone that I have talked to that took clomid seems to be affected differently by it.  So, who knows for sure!  I would just keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse or not.  If it was extremely painful you might want to have your doc check it out.

just thought of something else.............I don't really even know if I would call them cramps because sometimes it feels kinda like cramps but other times just feels so tender like from my ovaries being big or something.

I feel like I have had every type of cramp under the sun on clomid.  This month hasn't been as bad, I'd say I have cramps 3-5 days out of the week (unfortunately the clomid didn't work for me this month), but the first time I took it I had cramps of all sorts nearly 40 days straight (thru af and then after into next cycle as well!)  It's funny, I was logging my symptoms on my bbt chart and everyday says other things but always cramps, cramps, cramps - so not to worry - my doc says it is normal because you are stimulating your ovaries.  He said even having them into the next cycle is normal (I had taken that following cycle off of clomid) - because it could be remnant follicle activity.  I trust my doc - even though the people in his office suck big time, he's a very smart, competent guy. :o)  hope that helps

well as much as what you said doesn't sound like fun, at least i know i'm not the only one who has experienced this kind of cramping on clomid.  i'm not particularly uncomfortable, as the cramping never gets too bad, but since i'm already on cd 32, i figure it won't hurt to check with the doctor.

this has been my first month, and i've read so many different things that i wasn't really sure what to expect.

I did have some aching on one side.  It turned out to be cyst, but it took care of itself.

I take clomid and I get cramps really bad.  I usually get them a few days before I O and the last a couple of days after I O'd.  They are really uncomfortable and usually my whole lower area not just on one side.  It isn't what I would call painful but just really uncomfortable and more then AF cramps.   At least for me.
