Clomid Success Stories

Hey I was wandering if anyone had any success stories to share using Clomid 100 mg along with estraiol and prochieve (progesterone gel)! Last month I did my first round of clomid 50 mg and no success on pg but I did ovulate on day 16 so my OBGYN upped my dosage to clomid 100 mg! Me and my husband want a baby really bad! I know I will have one in God's time! I miscarried in early 2009. we tried for a long time on our on then I decided to go to a specialist. I was put on Metformin 1500 mg and Prometrium 200 mg. There was no success on just that so I was then put on the clomid, estradiol and progesterone cream. I really pray for a postitive soon!! Good luck to all you that are trying. It is a very hard process but I know I will have a good outcome and it will all be worth it one day!!!

Good luck to you. Havent tried it yet (waiting for my nxt cycle to begin, 1st time user) Iv researched a lot & asked many questions. Unfortunately cant give you YES or NO, every"body" is different Iv found both successful & negative results.

I got pregnant after ttc for 3 years, I was on clomid 100mg for 5 cycles, and added metformin 500mg to the last 2 cycles which I think really helped my body respond to it better. It definitley helped regulate me and raised my progesterone levels. Now I'm due in January with our first... a little girl! :0)

Good luck and don't give up hope! I was on my final round before moving onto IUI and IVF before I got my BFP!

crystalgodess-I know every case is different! I hope it works for me! and good luck to you and your hubby as well!!! I will let you know if I get a positive result this month!! I am only on cd 4 so I have until day 33 to start testing!!!! I am so ready to see if it works this month!!! I hope it does!!! And lin_z_ttc1- I am so glad it worked for you. I am on Metformin 1500 mg. I take a 750 mg in the morn and 750 mg at night and have been doing that for almost 6 months. But I just started the clomid 50 mg with it last month and now this month we are trying the clomid 100 mg!! Congrats on your pregnancy! I know you must be trilled! I think about that day I will get a BFP all the time!! It will be a WONDERFUL day but I know in God's time I will get there! Again thanks for the success story! It always make me feel better and my day go by better!!!

I will pray that you have a BFP this month!! Maybe October is the month!! What mg of clomid was you on? I was on 50 mg last month and I ovulated on cd 16 but not pregnant. My OB said that was normal on first try that sometimes we need more. So I just started clomid 100 mg last night! I am praying for a BFP!!!

I took 50mg of Clomid last year and it worked. I was also on 1500mg of Metformin.  I ovulated on CD 17.  I hope it works soon for all of you ladies.

WOW really only 50mg such little dose. CONGRATULATIONS. What does Metformin help w/? By taking both Clomid & Metformin increase your chances?

I take metformin because I have PCOS. It helps with the cist on my ovaries. My doc says it will improve my egg quality. I have been on metformin for over 6 months just to get my egg quality good and now she mixed the clomid with it! Praying it works!!!

I have just started my first cycle of Clomid 50mg this month (I am now on CD7) I too have PCOS and I am soo worried that clomid wont work for me. Reading your story gives me hope :) My DH and I have been married for 2 1/2 years and have been ttc for 1 1/2. It is very frustrating! I want so bad to be pregnant and I am very nervious since my OB prescribed me Clomid 50mg for 3 months! I will not be seeing her again until Feb!!! She did not order any blood or u/s. I don't know if this is normal!?!

wow, today is my second say of period and I'm starting my first round of clomid. I heard though that it's best to take before bed so as to sleep out the side effects.

Metformin reduces insulin resistance -which can mess up ovulation, because insulin has something to do with hormones (the pancreatic and parathyroid hormones) so when you are insulin resistant you rarely ovulate. Metformin reduces insulin resistance therefore causing you to ovulate!
