Clomid and Cycle Length

Can clomid change the length of your cycle?  Mine is 27, very regular.  I did take clomid days 5-9 and my ovulation was later than usual by four days (on day18).  Today is day 25.  I'm trying very hard not to buy a pregnancy test, but fighting this urge is hard!!!!

Hi girls.....I am on my second round of clomid. I was like clock work, every month, 31 days. It has shortened my cycles to 27 days each. Round 1 I started pills on CD5-10....no luck, so this time I started on CD3....which made me ovulate 6 days early! Who knows!!!!!!!!!!!

Sheesh.....I don't know whether I'm comin or goin!! I guess now I am at 5DPO with a clomid check on CD25, whatever that is!!

I did a round of Clomid last month and ovulated on day 34 (hence the Clomid didn't work).  I'm on 100mg now and on day 11.  OPK negative today and no temp surge.  I'm hoping that this 100mg will regulate me a little bit more.  It's hard to have a 48 day cycle, as this minimizes the number of times I can get pregnant in a year.  Hmmm, it does sound as though everybody's cycle has been lengthened though - crappy!

It did the opposite for me. It shortened mine to cd12 on 1st round and this last bfp producing round of 100mg was cd14. I am glad I did the clomid for sure :)

If AF was going to show up, I would expect her around 14 days after ovulation.  So if you are the early hpt testing type, I would start testing around 10 days after ovulation.

Hi!  While I can't say definitively (I just finished only my third round of Clomid), I do think that it extended my length.  I wasn't very regular, but never really went past 30 days and for the last two months on Clomid, my cycle was 33 days.  It seems hard to think its a coincidence!
