Clomid and cough syrup

Has anyone taken cough syrup with clomid and did it work? Since clomid can dry up your cervical mucus (cm) and make it harder for the sperm to swim up, i heard taking cough syrup with the only active ingredient being guiafinesin, thins the mucus ( just like if you were stuffy it would break that up so you could get it out (runny nose)) making it easier for the swimmers to get to the egg. I finished clomid and am now on day 14 of my cycle and it seems to be
working! We will see in a couple of weeks just how well or not.

Thank you! I have read some of that book at one time, maybe thats where I got the idea! Always hear about preseed but dont know much about that. Have you been on or are you on Clomid? I dont know which symptoms are what anymore! Clomid side effects, ovulation pain, etc. I had strong cramping on both sides days 13-15 and bloated gassy (hope thats not to much info) and mostly right sided pains on days 15-16, i am on day 16 today. I had irregular periods and anovulation so not sure what ovulation feels like. Us on day 12 showed follicles of 20 & 17mm and day 13 had positive ovulation test. All seems to be working right just hard to know which symptoms are what! Thanks for listening and any other info you have would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi, Take a look at the book "Take Charge of Your Fertility." She recommends an expectorant like Mucinex to help with CM while on Clomid. You could also try using Pre or Pre-seed lubricants because these are supposed to help the sperm swim to target. Good luck!
