on the right roughly 17, 13 and 12mm and one on the left 14mm. The clinic says we will probably do the iui in two to three days. Has anyone had a similar experience with these numbers. Just curious if others have been told what are good numbers and what to expect. I haven't been given a lot of answers with this. Hope to hear from you!
That sounds good to me! The question now is how many of them will mature by the time you have your IUI. Are you doing OPKs (ovulation tests) or a trigger shot to time the IUI?
Thank you for replying! I haven't been given a trigger shot but am going to talk to them
Tomorrow. I have been going in the last three days for blood work and ultrasound. I will be doing the same tomorrow. Do they usually do a trigger shot ? Would ovidril be that? My doctor had mentioned possibly needing it in our consult but I haven't been told to take it.
Yes, ovidrel is a trigger shot. It's not always used, but it will trigger ovulation about 24-48 hours after the shot. The alternative is to measure your natural LH
levels, which you can do yourself with OPKs...but since you're been having blood work on a daily basis, they're probably checking that for you. Once you get a spike in your LH
Okay, I finally was able to speak to the nurse at the clinic. They are going to give me ovidrel tomorrow as they say they don't want to do iui with four mature follicles
which I have. I would have thought they would use all four with the hopes of getting one to implant. However she said the risk of multiples is too high so they are going to try to force the two most mature eggs out. I hope I continue to respond well to the meds. I feel better using clomid than I have as long as I can remember. Fingers
Anyone had any issues with being on letrozole (day 3-7) then menopur beginning day 7. Noe on day 9 with three follies, however was told today that one folli shrunk and two didnt grow ? Upping dose today. What are the odds of follies now growing to full size or are chances that I am just not responding to drugs? Responded well to clomid, four fillies, good size but thinned out lining too much with failed iui. Hence change in meds this cycle. Anyone had a similar experience?
