Hi everyone !! Ihave not posted in a while.I have been taking a break. I started clomid again this month June 10th cycle day 5. I normaly have a 27-29 day cycle and ovulate on cd 14. i use opk and usually they start showing positive around cd12 . Today is cd 15 but so far they all have been negative. Is it normal to ovulate late on clomid ? and if so how late
Thanks in advance
April
for Clomid to delay your ovulation, especially if you take it starting day 5. I was totally panicking the 1st time I took it because I thought it messed me up and I would never O! Before taking Clomid, I had short cycles and would ususally get a +OPK around day 11 or 12, but for the 4 cycles I was on it, I didn't get a +OPK until day 15 or 16. Have you been monitoring your temps too? What about your doctor, will they be doing any type of ultrasound? I know my doctor didn't do much monitoring of me, so I was sort of on my own too. Just hang in there and you should be OK.
Thanks for the info
I was seeing an RE but i wanted a break from all of it so i took a 3 month break thought i would try clomid a few more time before IVF i have had 2 failed iui my DH has very low sperm count.I have taken clomid in the past but i dont ever remember it delaying my ovulation this long by cd 14 i was getting positive opk
Actually I was on Clomid and I ovulated late on CD 18 which I had took the OPK and was 2-dark lines I got so excited and freaked out and called my doc I went in for LH
Surge Blood work and Confirmed I was ovulating. I had my first IUI Insemination on June 10, very anxious to know next week if I will be preganant. The wait is killing me but hopefully it works the first time
hello april,it's okay to have late ov with clomid .i was on clomid this month and usually i ov on cd 14 but with monitored u/s and opk.i ov on cd18.just relax and all will be fine
Yeah, it's totally fine to ovulate a little later than normal ;-) I too ovulated late on clomid. In a natural cycle, I usually get a positive OPK on CD12 or 13, but with clomid, not until CD15. Good luck this cycle!
