Clomid dosage, 100mg?

I was on Clomid 50mg for 4 months with no sucess. I ovulate on my own, and the Clomid was just supposed to strengthen the quality of my follicles. I took a few months off, and now the appraoch is to try and get two follicles to grow.  My doctor has prescribed me 100mg of Clomid this month, then we will go up 50mg each month we dont succeed.   I was wondering if anyone else has taken 100mg of Clomid, because I went to four pharmacies and they all said that they do not make 100mg,  and I just need to take two 50's.  Is that going to work the same?   Thank you ladies!

As long as your pills add up to 100 mg you are OK.  Take 2 pills before bed; that will reduce the impact of possible side-effects.

Yeah, they only make them in 50mg - so you would take two 50 mg pills. :) I did and I had good O'ing - 2 eggs on 100mg. Didn't help me get pregnant until I added the injectibles to it . Good luck to you !

I did the same thing you did.....50 mg the first month and then 100 the next (now) month.  I took two a day and they said I could even take them at the same time.  I had only ONE follicle on the first month with 50 mg and the second month on 100 mg I had four!  So it worked great!  Good luck!

Yes, it works the same.  Most women here have been on 100 mg. and we take 2 50mg.  tablets. Typical protocol is to start you on 50 mg and increase by 50 mg if no success was found on the lower dose.  I don't know many people who go over 150mg.  though.  Hope this cycle works for you.

I'm pretty sure it will work the same.  My re had me on 100mg of clomid but I did take 2 50mg per day. When I took the clomid challenge test I passed, my body did what it was supposed to. I'm sure it will do the same for you as well! Good luck with everything-I hope you won't have to be on clomid too much longer :) Those hot flashes are the pits!
