Hi everyone.. I am 25 and i have been ttc for almost two years, this is my second month on clomid (100mg) i have not ovulated. I also don't know my cycle length b/c i don't have periods without prometrium. so i quess my cycle length to be anywhere from 40 to 45 days. i chart my bbt and take opk's (all neg). my doctor has only done bloodwork once.(normal labs).. i'm concerned because everyone else appears to get bloodwork monthly, do i need a new doctor? What should i expect next? please any help would be appreciated..
My guess is that you're seeing a regular doctor of obgyn...right? They sometimes prescribe clomid without monitoring. If that's the case, I would suggest seeing an RE instead. Especially since you've been trying for more than a year and are concerned you're not ovulating. Good luck to you!
thank you for the quick reply, yes i am seeing a obgyn.. and i didn't have my first period until 19 ( i was underweight) and then i did not have another until i started birth control. with temps and opks i haven't seen ovulation yet, to me thats very concerning but my doctor is hoping clomid will make me ovulate. I have an appointment in two weeks hopefully she will order bloodwork then...
I agree with Heather, if it's been this long, you may want to take the next step and see a Reproductive Endocronologist (RE). If the Clomid is not making you O, then they have other things you can try.
