Confused & waiting to conceive

I took Clomid last month and tracked my ovulation afterwards like advised by my doctor. My husband and I also had sex every other day starting when we were advised to according to the Clomid treatment. I was tracking my ovulation and after many times with no happy face ... I tested as I usually did and there was the first happy face ever ! We had sex that night and every other before that... The very next day I had "spotting" and have ever since with cramping too. ( been 3 days ) Ofcourse it's too early to know if we did conceive but I'm anxious and confused at the same time. Why was I spotting the day after & if we followed the instructions exactly and I was ovulating am I sure to have gotten pregnant? I am pretty sure we do not start our period until approx 14 days after ovulation but it still makes me think that I am not pregnant. :(

just hang in there.. I tried TTC for 21 months and frustrated, depressed, and about gave up... I planned to take 2 cycles off (that was in 04/09 - 06/09) and take it easy... Before i did that... I got pregnant unexpected end of 04/09...

Each month I tracked my ovulation time and have sex but never success.. Also I did 2 IUIs and still not working...

I guess our body work opposite. When you don't think about it.. you will conceive...

Thanks for your advice... I am trying my best to wait patiently. lol All of a sudden 4 days after ovulating the spotting ( dark in colour... almost brown ) has stopped so I'm still hoping I am pregnant. :)

some women have spotting with ovulation or implantation.. good luck!

This is my first cycle on clomid too, there are no guarentees cause I have been doing it on all the right days for 14 months, but there is always hope, u may have some spotting on clomid, it's normal as long as its not a lot....wishing u the best of luck on ur BFP

the first spotting would of been ovulation. Also though you can have breakthrough bleeding and spotting with clomid. I had spotting without clomid like everyday for three weeks then the progesterone made it stop and the dr said it was fine. Now you will have signs of pregnancy 6-12 days following ovulation when implantation happens and you can bleed with that. If you notice anything beofor that it would be residula from the clomid effects. Are you temping? That is one way to see good sgins before you could test to see if you may be. Best of luck!

Thanks, I've tried temping but I work shift work so as soon as I switch from days to nights or vice versa my temp goes all outta wack and it's hard to keep track. I guess the only way now to be sure will be a pregnancy test in a week or 2. The wait is the most stressful. lol Any other suggestions ?

Well I've got my period. ( I think... not a huge flow but just red spotting ) :(                   My husband doesn't understand why this is making me so crazy. We have been trying for just over 2 years. I took the Clomid like advised ... tracked my ovulation with a urine test every day during the expected time frame and was ovulating... We had sex that day & every other day before hand like we were told to!!! How did I not get pregnant!!!!! Obviously something is wrong. It's so hard I want to give up. :(

Nothing may be wrong hun, you're just on your 1st cycle of clomid and a lot of people take clomid for several months before hitting the nail on the donkey!
Did your gyn check you around day 13 to see if you had some follicles and check their sizes?
Usually that's what the gyn does to make sure the pill worked. I assume that you started off on 50mg but you should have been checked right before ovulation to see if the dosage is right for you.
I'm no expert either, it's my first try with clomid too.
Be faithful, i know it's hard but you're not alone.

I'm in the same boat as you with the Femara.  I'm now on day 20, I started spotting on day 16 (just light pink) and I think it's finally stopped.  I haven't been using OPK's but we just had alot of sex to make sure we were covered.  We had sex up until day 15 though.  My DH also doesn't get it.  Thinks I'm obsessing.  Well what else am I supposed to do??????  They're not the ones feeling little cramps or twinges here and there and wondering if it's a sign.  It's so frustrating.

What does your gyn think?

ps. don't expect your husband to understand...they don't have the slightest idea of what we are going through!! They think they do but they will never be able to fully understand.
Since we lost our angel in jan. my partner tells me to wait a week for AF to come before testing...is he nuts!
Thank God for the dollar store home p tests!!
He doesn't even know about the opk that i've used because he'll critisize me saying that i'm 'thinking about it too much'.
Some things are better left unsaid.

My Gyn is not monitoring me at all... just said here try these. I am going to call today and ask why I'm not being checked. We have been trying for just over 2 years. I am so glad that I found this site and can talk to all of you who are going through the same thing... it really helps when I'm down. I just thought that if I was ovulating and we did it ... I should be pregnant!? GRRR this ***** big time!

I have had blood work done ... all fine. My husband tested and fine. I also had some procedures done ( not sure of the names of them)  & my doc says everything is fine ... go nuts! haha We are going nuts and nothing.

Second round of Clomid and still negative! I am starting to think that my doctor had to of missed something. There has to be something wrong with one of us. :( I used an Ovulation kit, it was postive and we had sex that day and the next three! I know I'm suppose to just relax and forget we are trying and just let it happen naturally but how the heck do I do that!!!??? :( I am starting to feel like a failure and I must be getting punished for some wrong I have done in my past.
