I've heard and read several things about there being a correlation between a woman's body mass (BMI) and the level of HCG she should take during an IVF cycle. My BMI is high (probably 40), and to date I have been taking 10,000 IU's of HCG prior to egg retireval. I did a hpt on day 7 after the HCG shot and it was negative, so I am guessing it was already out of my system, which was only 4 days after transfer.
This cycle, we are increasing it to 20,000 IU's. Has anyone heard of there being a correlation between size and the amount of HCG one should take prior to egg aspiration
Did you discuss this with your RE on your last appointment Monday?
What were his thoughts?
I tested on Day 3 and it was already gone. I am only 5'2 1/2 and weigh 155 lbs.
I'm going to ask the RE about a booster shot of HCG at my 8:00 appt tomorrow (smile)...okay so my appt is really at 8:15am. Left lane all the way. See you in the morning!
Sorry I missed you. He changed my ER to Saturday at 7:00 am.
How was your appointment today?
I didn't see you when I came out. He had me in the back on the table (naked from the waist down for 19 minutes BEFOR he came in!)
What did he say about the HCG? Check out my journal.......
