My RE said IVF costs around $12,000.  I am currently on injectables and I get them overseas in Europe, at the encouragement of my RE.  I pay a third of what they would cost here.

we ended up paying about 25K for 3 IUI's and 3 IVF's (3rd w/ a donor and that was extra cost). My ins doesn't pay for fertility stuff, but my clinic would bill them for meds that weren't considered fertility, b/w, and u/s...some of that can just be considered "woman stuff". Also, it depends on where you order your meds (can be cheaper to go through a drug company than a pharmacy) and if you are willing to mix your shots or want to go the safe easy route of the "pens" (already mixed and you just shoot up!) Also, a lot of clinics will do what our clinic calls a "shared risk" program where they charge you more, but it includes 3 rounds of  IVF and if not successful they give you a percentage back (doesn't include meds and if you are successful before the 3rd you don't get money back...but worth it!) But you have to qualify for that...depends on age, b/w levels, etc...showing that you can be successful. That is just what our clinic does.
Good luck!!

I just got my cost breakdown for ivf that I will probably have to pay out of pocket.  The procedure costs around 10K plus 8K for the drugs (ouch!).  Again, costs vary across people and clinics.  I hope your insurance can cover some of this if you go that route.

Hi Amanda. If you don't have insurance that is a lot of money to pay from your pocket. One shot of Ivf goes around $12000, but it depends from the clinic and the state you're on. I have paid the meds out of my pocket and the injectables are around $60-70 shot. I did Gonal F 150 mg and paid $60 per one day. But on every state and clinic the meds are a lot of money.
