Curious about Cervix Position....

Good evening ladies,

Central time is10:30pm right now.  I suppose to go to bed but i have quick question.  when i took shower and check my cervix position.  My cervix is low and open.  It's medium. not hard, not soft.  To my understanding, I thought after DPO your cervix suppose to be high, firm, and close.  Am I right on that?  because if it's true, then I don't have a chance to be pregnant this cycle.

Any feed back will be help.  I know I shouldn't put too much hope into this, but somehow i am still hoping for miracle.  Just like you know when you buy lottery and then chance to win is one in million, but you are still buying the ticket because you know there will be a chance and hope that you will win.  Just like my case here.

Anyway, Wish everyone in this forum will get BFP soon.

Hi BabyBlue!

Hope you're doing well and that it's your time to "win the lottery" this month :-) Normally, your cervix will be high, soft and open right before ovulation, and then return to a low position, and become firm and closed again after O. So the position you describe is correct. As for it feeling medium and open, I have to say that personally, I can't feel a difference between open and closed, and I have also had cycles where my cervix felt medium after O. So, I wouldn't worry about it! I think you still have a chance this month!

Best of luck, BabyBlue!
