since the baby was implanted in my tubes. the doctors say that this is one of the more serious side effects of depo. i was on the shot for about a year and been off for about 8 going on 9 months. i have regular periods but can not get pregnant.is this due to the depo and how long will it take to getpregnant or shouldi see a doctor?
Depo can really mess up your cycle. But each women responds differently to it. Some have no problems getting pregnant after going off of it. Other cases take a really long time (6 years in my case). But since it's been 9 months or so, and you have suffered a miscarriage
, I would say it's time for you to see a specialist. I wish I had seen one sooner (I was pregnant within 9 months of starting with my Reproductive Endocrinologist). Good luck, and I hope you have success soon!!
I was on depo for about 8 years when my husband and I decided to have another baby. I had 2 children without any complications. My last injection was in September 06. I miscarried once in May 07 and again in February 08. It seems that the more I research the effects of Depo on preganancy, the more I find too many women are having trouble carrying. The only warning that is offered is that it may take a long time to get pregnant but I can say I don't think getting pregnant is the problem. There are alot of us out there that have suffered through miscarriages
