I think I want to start taking DHEA, but want a baseline first. Some think serum blood tests are better, and some thinkg that saliva tests are better. I think I'll do them both. Does anyone know if the DHEA and DHEA-S levels vary much throughout a woman's cycle? Does it matter what day I have the blood draw? I know DHEA levels are highest in the morning, so they do change throughout the day. Throughout the day DHEA-S levels are fairly constant.
Also, can anyone suggest other blood serum tests that would be helpful? I have only gotten the day 3 FSH/Estradiol tests.
