Day 3 embryo transfer and we are both a ball of nerves! December 2013

I am 32 and on my second ivf cycle.  The first cycle was last month.  I had 12 eggs retrieved and 7 were mature and injected with sperm and 5 fertilized.   On day 3, we found that only 3 were still growing normally and on the morning of day 5, my husband and I were devastated to find that we needn't go to the office for the ET.

The only glimmer of hope came that evening when our doctor called to let is know that if we were ready, we could try again the next month.  Rejoice!  We then anxiously awaited my period so that we could start BC and begin this process again.

So today, 12/22 --- we are 6 days post 3 day embryo transfer and are both a ball of nerves!  Is anyone else in the same boat!!! Our blood test is 12/26 and the 2ww is absolutely driving us nuts!!!!!!!

I just saw this message and hope that all is well for you.  We did decide to try again during March/April and had one beautiful 5DT.  Unfortunately our numbers were all over the place and had an empty gestational sac, medically it is known as a missed abortion.  My body had lost the baby but tried to carry on as if it were still pregnant.  I had to have a D&C and it was the worst.   I cried the entire time from the moment I had woken up that day.  My body finally had a period naturally 6 weeks later.  As we all have experienced, this is such an unbearably emotional time.  We have decided to try again (#4) and with a different doctor.   Praying for our little miracle.

Sorry just read this. We did not do am FET in February. We actually just did our transfer on 4/1/14. We transferred only 1 egg. My beta is on 4/11/14 but I think I will test 1 day before my bloodwork. If this round doesn't work we only have one egg left.

How are you doing?

Hello all… so it's been a while since I last posted.  Unfortunately, my husband and I lost our baby/babies.  Our first HCG read at a 71 and 4 days later, the second read at a 149.  This alarmed our doctor since it should double every 48-72 hours.  Our worst fears were confirmed 3 days later when the HCG read 34.  I wish I had better news to share.  We are not giving up though.  We know that we are meant to be parents and will keep pushing onward.  Good luck to everyone else.  I am meeting with my doctor tomorrow to discuss our options.  I hope to post again soon with better news!

My first beta was 33 and my second beta from today was 86, so it more than doubled. Have another appointment for a beta in a week.

Hello there!  I am doing well, thank you.  Had a few scares last week, but when we went for our first blood test, my HCG level indicated pregnant!!!!!!!!!  We will be following up on 12/30 to see if the HCG are increasing normally!  How about you??  Your big day is coming up!  I have been praying for us both very much!  Best of luck to you, friend!  How are you?

I am very sorry to hear that.   Had you conceived naturally?  I agree with Naa1, you may want to consider visiting an infertility specialist.   They will oversee a slew of tests to make sure everything is as it should be in theory and can help you both become pregnant with the best method for you.  Your ob/gyn may know of someone locally or you can search online.  Good luck!!

Not trying to ask something that shouldn't but my husband and i got pregnant over a year ago but lost the baby due to getting stuck in my tube doctor gave me a shot to end my pregnancy and since then haven't had any luck at giving my husband a son i don't know who to go to on any of this my mother passed when i was 13 or would ask her. Talk to the doctor that treated me for my last pregnancy but he didn't wanna help us so if anyone knows something that could maybe help us that would be great thank you

Thank you. I have faith in God  and know we will both have positives. This is my 2nd ivf.  I remember going through fear of negative cus I felt no symptoms of pregnancy during my 2ww but when  we went in for urine test It was POSITIVE. Immediately I knew it was Gods doing and it was beautiful in my eyes. So I know HE never changes. He will not fail us this time too. Pls don't read negative stuffs cus they bring ur spirit down

Ladyd0479 -  I am very sorry for your loss and pray that you and your fiancé will conceive very very soon!   The 2 rounds of ivf has certainly had a major impact on our finances and we had to save for a very long time.  We actually started with clomiphene citrate for my husband and good ol' BC for me.  Later, once our doctor gave us a green light and a  detailed time table, we began a strict regimen of injections/pills/patches/inserts.  Thank you for your kind words and well wishes!

Naa1 - Good luck to you!!!!!  I will keep us all in in my prayers!  I want nothing more than to do a HPT on 12/25, but am afraid of false negatives/positives so will maybe just continue reading anything and everything I can get my hands on and wait!!!
