who was just placed on my first round of Clomid, 50 mgs, CD 3 to 7. I got a positive OPK on CD 14, and had severe ovulation cramping on CD 15, and to a lesser extent on CD 16. After I had ovulation cramping, my breasts have been quite sore. I had my progesterone levels tested on CD 25, and the levels came back at 4.4. I started spotting
on CD 26. I did not chart my temps this cycle on Clomid, and did'nt get any eggwhite quality cervical fluid. I am confused about whether or not I've ovulated this cycle, or if I've ovulated ineffectively. During previous, non-medicated (no Clomid) cycles, I charted my BBT and got a definite sustained rise in temps, and also got eggwhite quality cervical fluid and ovulation cramping mid-cycle. I have always had regular 28 day cycles, however, more recently, I have had issues with spotting
Hi, I actually just finished my first month on clomid too (started AF on Sunday), and like you I had no fertile cervical mucus. I guess that's one of the side effects for about 30% of women...so because of that I'm not doing clomid this month. I did chart my temps, though, and I did ovulate.
I'm wondering if your progesterone was tested too late in your cycle, since it sounds like you may have ovulated on CD15, which means you had the test done at 10 dpo or so. I know that the peak happens around 7 dpo, so that's when they normally want you to have the test done. Unless you're pregnant, the levels will then start to go back down again until you get your period. So even though 4.4 is low, it might just be normal for that time on the cycle....if that makes sense. Your levels could have been much higher a few days before then.
If I were you, I would start charting again. That way, you'd know for sure if and when you ovulate. Good luck to you!
