can make you infertile, he doesn't want to remove it unless it is absoulutley nessisary. I was just wondering if there's any ladies out there that have had any experince with this subject, good or bad? I have one on the outside wall of my uterus about 7 centimeters big (the size of an apple) I'm 28 years old, and in ok shape. I am on clomid, and was wondering if maybe I should get it removed if the clomid is unsucessful. I have been more or less trying to conceive for 6 years, with no luck yet. I am still on my TWW so I'm keeping my fingers
problem..One is about 4 centimeters and it is in the uterus at the top. I have another small one on my ovary. I have gotten pregnant 3 times even though I had the fibroids
but for other reasons.1 was blighted ovum,2 were just bad eggs.I am 43 years old and am trying again. My dr. said that she feels that I should have them removed when I decide to stop ttc. They don't bother me except when on clomid. Then they hurt like hell.
Since your's is on the outside of the uterus so it should not interfere with getting pg.You are still young so if you decide to have it removed just make sure that you give your body a couple of months to recuperate before ttc again.
I am 6 dpo today.I think that I am going to test Sunday just for the hell of it.
Good luck during the 2ww- Debbie

thanks for the info. That is kind of what I thought, I just wanted to hear it from someone else I guess. I only want one child so after I have my one, I will probably get it removed, I even though it isn't causing me pain, for peace of mind. Or just get my uterus removed so that I don't have to deal with getting more! That sounds horrid doesn't it? scary! I am 4 dpo
Good luck to you too!!! Lots of Baby Dust to us both!!!
I had two fibroids removed but my RE told me they were NOT effecting my fertility. The only reason he removed them is because he went in there to look for endometiosis (sp?) and/or scar tissue.. He said he never would have removed them otherwise. One was on the outside wall off the uterus and the other was in the wall tissue.. I don't remember the size but I think they were relatively small..
Thanks!
Yeah I think it might be a possiblity that I might have endometriosis, if the clomid doesn't work I might just have them do a laproscopsy or whatever it's called to see, something just doesn't sound right to me about trying for 6 years and not concieving, PCOS or not. I've had to have ovulated some of the time right? Sometimes my period was on time, and sometimes not. I hope the clomid works, I really do!
I had a fibroid that did not affected my pregnancy but my friend had 2 fibroids that did not affect her fertility but made her pregnancy very painful. A lot depends on where your fibroids are situated since in very rare cases they may cause a m/c.
