Do you have intercourse the day before an IUI

Hi:  I was wondering if you guys have intercourse the day before an IUI (the day after the HCG shot if you take that).

I did not have intercourse the day before. They said to try not to for at least 24 hours so my dh had good count. They did IUI two days in a row because the day I went in for IUI I still hadn't ovulated even with trigger day before. They did tell me to bd the day after the 2nd IUI though to be safe. I did get my BFP 9 days after 2nd IUI :)

They told me to wait until after the IUI. So if you did an IUI in the morning by that night you should be good to go. I wouldn't do it before because as the pp said it will effect your partner's count.

Keep your head up. IUIs sometimes take may tries!

I would not have sex the day before unless your RE is afraid you might ovulate early, so yes we did. We are still waiting to see how it went.

We were always told to refrain for 2 days before IUI.  That way the sample would be good.  Good luck.
