Once it is mixed, refridge...if not within 2 hours it becomes less potent.
The nurse at my RE office said to follow the directions on the package which was to refrigerate it. She said I could let it come to room temp. before injecting to make it more comfortable.
I dont think either need to be refregerated per the instructions online...only after they are mixed it required refregeration
regarding OPK after the trigger shot...yes i have also seen it getting positive after, so the shot does impact the OPK. your RE should have confirmed ovulation with mid-leutal progesterone test instead...that tells u if u ovulated or not
well, that is the million dollar question!! I think I did! But my RE never confirmed it....it certainly did feel like I did and I also did an OPK on the morning before my IUI (about 33 hours after trigger) and it was DARK DARK DARK. But, my question is...can the injection cause a false positive for an OPK? Do you know? I took it just to see and it was positive but then I started thinking about it.....hmmmm...let me know your thoughts or if anyone else has anything to say let me know!
So I don't get it...powder, controlled room temprature, but the liquid needs to be refridgerated? Which, the liquid is only saline....Is that right?
yeah...mine is not pre-mixed either...it has a bottle with a liquid and another one with powder.
Even with refrigeration before using it, did it work for you...did you ovulate each time?
Well from what my RE told me they weren't concerned with even 12 hours after being reconstituted and being unrefrigerated.. so i think you'll be fine!!!
Guess what ...i looked up online and it says the below:
NOVAREL (POWDER IN VIALS)
Store at controlled room temperature, 15° to 30°C (59° to 86°F)
Store in the refrigerator after reconstitution
Use completely within 60 days after reconstitution
Oh god!! I will be going home only after 5 hrs....hopefully it wont get damaged in that time
I have used novarel for going on three months now and I have put it in the fridge all three times...mine is sitting in there waiting for next week as we speak. I would refridgerate since your nurse said so.....Mine doesn't come pre-mixed either....it is a pain.
I don't keep my novarel in the refergerator. didn't say anything about it.
hmmm...very interesting...my nurse just told me to refregerate it. Will it gor bad on refregeration?
I just used it last night for the first time (my RE changed me from ovidrel as well) I got mine unmixed ( i had to get the generic since i couldnt' find the name brand anywhere around here either!) My RE mixed it yesterday morning arnd 9 and said that i didtn' have to refrigerate it since I would be using it in 12 hours, but all over the packaging it said refridgerate if mixed.... so i put it in the fridge anyways, ust to make sure! GOOD LUCK! :)
I didn't refrigerate mine either, but it also was not pre-mixed and I used all of it once it was mixed.
I did not refrigerate mine, but it wasn't pre-mixed, and I used it all once mixed. So I don't know if that helps you or not. I hope it does! :)
